So do any of you Greeboโ€™s wash the lining if your crash helmet?

This is a sample of the water after washing the liner of my Arai, 2 years since it was last washed & after a sweaty trip to Cornwall & back.

Hโ€™mmm, If Iโ€™d kept it I reckon it would have fermented well with the addition of a little sugar .... no need for extra yeast!!

does the helmet have a removable lining :?:

ย

Aye, it does

you can throw it in the washer then :D

ย

Not sure, coz itโ€™s got hard plastic bits attached.

Iโ€™ve hand washed it with kiddy shampoo.

My shark helmet I am sure I read somewhere you could massive wash so I did want no problems...

That's just yuk. I use A Coolmax Helmet Liner. A great little beanie that wicks away moisture, just throw it in the wash each week. :thumb:

Thanks, Think Iโ€™ll look into that, it took me ages to get the liner back in satisfactorily - especially the cheek pads.

Ordered 1 from Sportsbike shop using the link on this forum.

I always wash my head before putting the helmet on.. Haven't got much hair left and I cut it down to grade zero so it's more of a head wash. Only takes a minute in the sink ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘
