Tiggie Posted September 2, 2024 Posted September 2, 2024 I quite like earl grey but it gives me heartburn if I have too much Quote
S-Westerly Posted September 3, 2024 Author Posted September 3, 2024 My wife drinks Earl Grey but I'm not a huge fan. My tea of choice is Yorkshire Gold which given I am Lancastrian by birth is a bit shameful. 3 Quote

Maybe a pigeon guided by un-worldly forces - it’s a sign you are being watched you see the face, right? Don’t go thinking a bit of Widowlene will break the curse 1 Quote
Fozzie Posted September 3, 2024 Posted September 3, 2024 Good evening! Stuck in a training course all day today, very ready for ju-jitsu now, got my grading in a week. Going through my defence work, which I find oddly fitting, as todays date sticks in my memory for being the day I took a knee to the face about 8 years back, in an unprovoked scrap. Got them restrained, but in future, would prefer to get to the restraining bit done with more technique! Quote
Fozzie Posted September 3, 2024 Posted September 3, 2024 Good night Got into a training session where 3 black belts of varying dan grade took me for a session to prep me for next week. Black and blue is an understatement, I was absolutely battered 1 Quote

That is today We got soaked Monday afternoon, dry yesterday, bar a ten minute downpour. But we're looking at a late start today, as it's raining. It's all biking though. Had some amazing riding. peepae Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 (edited) The family is becoming concerned for me riding to Italy. How do you relieve the concerns lol - I rode 1000KM in December one day, I don't think it can get much worse than that. (In storming rain & wind) 1600 in nice weather doesn't sound too bad with good enough rest stops, and potential nap somewhere. Edited September 4, 2024 by peepae 1 Quote
RideWithStyles Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 (edited) If you prepare, plan in plenty of stops with few deadlines to meet and agreed times/places you get to and communicate at and let them know, there’s not a lot else really? With phones (iPhones anyway) have a family setting so they can see where the phone is of a particular person, wife uses it to keep track of daughter and me while on the bike, saves being nagged at while on the razz. Wifes new car has a very similar feature. Edited September 4, 2024 by RideWithStyles Quote

Can easily share live data via Strava app. It is for cycling but that function will obviously still work I'd think Quote
