Some have both, you know to catch those with no numberplate on the front.

My (ahem) 'friend' was approaching the van from the windscreen end and had slowed down long before they got near the back of the van where the camera points out through the flap.

I know they have a front camera to catch motorcycles which don't have a front number plate, the speed of the bike having already been recorded on the rear camera. Since that front facing camera is behind a windscreen can it also detect speed? I thought the point of the rear camera needing to work out of an open flap was because there has to be a direct line of sight between the camera and the vehicle to detect the speed of the vehicle.

Rear is main, unlikely your friend would be of enough interest to bother with forensic video investigation, just ask him how it goes 😁

No complaints if Santa delivers - after 8 weeks of my mother in hospital with my father lodging with us because he can't look after himself he went to my sister's in Gloucestershire last Sunday. Monday morning the hospital decided to discharge my mother so we had to get my father back before midday or else they'd cancel the discharge. It was a bit of a panic but we got him home just in time.

Hospital discharges are a nightmare. I was sat in my hospital room when a sister came in and told the nurse to get me discharged now. No warning just got bundled up and put in a waiting room wasn't so bad for me but for the elderly  not good at all. Unfortunately bed managers rule the roost there has been a spate locally of next of kin having calls from care homes to tell them there loved ones are there having been discharged with no knowledge in some cases patients have no capacity and the next of kin needed to give permission which wasn't the case. This is why it's in a mess keyboard warriors making decisions a qualified nurse or Dr would not make without doing the right thing 1st. Its not hard to offer a service you would want your loved ones to have I'm sure these people wouldn't expect the same for their parents etc. I think the human side of things in most working environments falls way down the list of priorities

It's -8. What's so good about it?

It's not - 16, our electric gas and water are working and a terrorist state so far is not dropping bombs on us, Ohh and our house is still standing, seems fairly good to me 😁

Having had a total lack of Internet over last few days get back on to discover that my mother had been discharged from hospital without warning but at least to our preferred care home. My dad only found out when he phoned ward to arrange a visit. Bit of a surprise.

Apparently -4 feels like -2 here. Might go for a walk after a pot of tea and a cooked breakfast.

It's snowing here now!  The M54 is already closed eastbound due to an accident (the way I go to work)

Only a light dusting in Stourbridge just down the road from you so hopefully shouldn't be too bad
