Good evening. All packed and ready to head south in the morning to start our tour. I’m a little concerned that we’ve cocked up the packing: we appear to have lots of spare room in the panniers. What have we forgotten to pack?

Surprisingly little needed. I bought a 56L top box, just for this trip, but ended up using my 40L.

Don't forget shoes for evenings,

My good lady gets the 38l pannier, I get the 33l pannier. We also have a 54l topbox for waterproofs and spare clothing layers in case of changes in weather. The topbox also holds disc lock, puncture repair kit, hi viz, a folder full of paperwork and that allows space for us to carry a picnic should we get opportunity.

Shoes… I carry a pair of these

Company called Flip And Dip on Instagram sell flip up plate mounts. I imagine the penalty is pretty severe despite them being sold as "plate tidies" for photography.

Good afternoon

A long week this one, working late most days, and got a bunch of interviews to do next week for new contractors.

Quick question another donator or mods can help me with. The forum subscription. Does it auto-renew if you take out a sub? Or if I pay £10 for the 5 months subscriber status, do I need to manually pay another £10 every 5 months?

Cheers

The real question is, if you were to have the police chasing you - would you stop or not

If you wouldn't, these plates are almost pointless, only if you want to rush through some speeding cameras, and then there's the risk you forgot to turn it inwards too hahaha

Also - from the side you can always very clearly see the hinge

Oh zero chance I'd even consider these. Just things the algorithm has shown me alongside all the Americans running 😂

Also Monzo Max (£17 a month) has RAC breakdown for UK & Europe in it too, pretty good deal with some other insurances too.

Today it wasn't worth going to work, my welder died just as I started and I was forced to use a buzz box of dubious quality

Not a good day at the office 😢

Good morning from Khor Fakkan where yet another day of this interminable cleaning is going on. The boss was over for a few days and I begged him to send me back to "my" ship. Just laughed and said I needed a new challenge.  It certainly qualifies for that!

Good morning :thumb:

Hi everyone, this year has had it's up's and down's, and during the up's I have managed to sort a few things out, which brings me to the point to see if you would like to have a calendar for 2025.
