Not really. They do deflect some wind and rain but I can't honestly say I notice any difference.  I'd certainly not advocate them as a way of keeping your hands warmer.

Nope!  Got them on mine and still need heated gloves ..... Useful on an enduro bike though for protecting your hands from undergrowth 👍

I’ve fitted Bark Busters to my Speedtriple and feel they have had a significant positive effect on keeping my fingers warmer ( especially my thumbs)  & dryer, allowing me to use thinner gloves for longer distances & for longer in the year.

They are especially useful at higher speeds.

I have them on the Honda but not on the Triumph and they do make a bit of difference, but as said, not huge. I find that using them I can set my heated gloves to a lower setting. They also keep your hands slightly drier. But the difference isn't massive.

I wouldn't pay much for them, mine are cheap generic ones of ebay.

There’s not an appreciable difference as far as I can tell. I went from VFR800 to ST1100 (no guards) to Triumph Tiger (guards) to FJR1300 (no guards) to R1200GS (guards). The fairings on the ST1100 and FJR seemed to deflect the wind just as well as the guards, certainly compared with the VFR.

One reassuring thing, though, is I’ve never had any road debris hit my fingers when riding the Tiger or GS. I have on other bikes I’ve owned - and it ruddy well stings.
