Throttled Posted June 27, 2023 Posted June 27, 2023 What do think? Replace now, or wait till the service in November, at most 2000 more miles? Quote
Tiggie Posted June 27, 2023 Posted June 27, 2023 I think there's loads of life left on those. I am from Yorkshire though 3 1 Quote
Mickly Posted June 27, 2023 Posted June 27, 2023 What about this? Think the Newquay trip may have seen it off Quote
Throttled Posted June 27, 2023 Author Posted June 27, 2023 Tread wise the tyre looks fine. It does look a bit squared off though. 1 Quote
fullscreenaging Posted June 27, 2023 Posted June 27, 2023 (edited) The tyre is pretty much on the wear marker. I would get it changed asap. The pads should last until service time. Edited June 27, 2023 by fullscreenaging 1 Quote
Bender Posted June 27, 2023 Posted June 27, 2023 Pads look fine, tyre is almost down to wear marker. Quote

Mississippi Bullfrog Posted June 27, 2023 Posted June 27, 2023 I would replace the tyre. The pads should last another 2k. Quote

Stu Posted June 27, 2023 Posted June 27, 2023 Loads on the pads! The tyre should have been replaced 500 miles ago 2 Quote

I usually wear mine out in 5k. But I tend to be heavy on the front brake. But the next service is in 2k so they would want replacing then or they won't make the next service. 1 Quote

It will be changed before being used again. 2 Quote

fullscreenaging Posted June 28, 2023 Posted June 28, 2023 The wear marker is 1mm deep. The tyre is fine in the dry, but should it rain when out on that, then the tread won’t be deep enough to displace the water efficiently and it could be squeaky bum time, so very smooth throttle needed. Quote

Unfortunately the wear marker is worn Quote
