geofferz Posted September 7, 2023 Posted September 7, 2023 (edited) Just a reminder to be very wary. Amazon seems to allow sellers to change the 'picture or description' (clearly including title) of a product without losing the old reviews for a totally different product So these headphones with loads of ratings are... Maybe good maybe bad, I don't know, the reviews are for envelopes... Aimoh Wireless Headphones,Bluetooth 5.3 Headphones Noise Cancelling,IPX7 Waterproof, with Charging Case Included, Over 24H Playtime in-Ear Hi-Fi Stereo,Touch Control,Wireless Earbuds for Android/iOS https://amzn.eu/d/27PEChr I don't think amazon cares that much. megaross Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 Amazon is built on fake reviews and unscrupulous practises. Paid for your reviews? Who cares, Amazon get their cut - that's their way. I avoid them like the plague. Quote
geofferz Posted September 12, 2023 Author Posted September 12, 2023 So convenient though, they sell everything, and their customer service is sublime (they best John Lewis in surveys) Quote
Bender Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 I only buy from them when I know what I'm getting or if I can't be arsed and it's cheap and not from China, now that's a conundrum Quote
S-Westerly Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 I use amazon when there's either no alternative or if its for something like a kindle book where there's very little alternative especially when I'm stuck on a ship somewhere. Quote
husoi Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 In fairness. If you complain to amazon that a product is faulty they will just either refund the money or send you a new item and don't usually ask many questions. Had a Dremel type tool replaced twice and was just telling them it was faulty. Free return package at post office. 1 Quote
Fiddlesticks Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 They usually are pretty good like that. Our delievery driver has taken to dumping stuff on the doorstep in the rain though, rather than knocking and waiting. Quote
bonio Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 I had a mobile phone from Amazon delivered like that. Had to wait on the doorstep for a day or two until I got back from holiday. Quote

I believe they are a good employer when you get past packaging and delivery. Quote
