Guest Posted February 14, 2024 Posted February 14, 2024 Good evening all, Got something of a quandary, I need to make some pipes that have crimped end's like this. What type of crimping tool dose that? Thought someone here might know Quote
Bender Posted February 14, 2024 Posted February 14, 2024 What material, anything like that is going to be hydraulic and be expensive. Quote
Guest Posted February 14, 2024 Posted February 14, 2024 (edited) I don't think there would be much pressure, It's oil return pipe, it looks close to rotting. I was thinking about making it out of copper then electro plating with nickel/zinc. but your probably right the tool would cost more than the bike is worth. V650 Posted February 15, 2024 Posted February 15, 2024 Would it not be cheaper / easier to buy one? something like this https://www.cmsnl.com/honda-cbr1100xx-superblackbird-1999-x-usa-california_model7258/pipe-oil-return_15241mat000/ Not sure of your exact bike model but same pipe may be fitted to other models 1 Quote

Unless of course you are going into business and see an opening Quote

oldgrump Posted February 15, 2024 Posted February 15, 2024 (edited) Hi, @Vic101, according to Fowlers they have some in stock at £17.20 each, or if you have a Honda dealer near you just order from them. My local Honda dealer normally gets parts next day for me. And saves on postage!! Part no 15241MAT000 Edited February 15, 2024 by oldgrump part no 3 Quote

Guest Posted February 15, 2024 Posted February 15, 2024 (edited) hmm... This is the issue, been looking for these other 2 oil pipes as well, they could do with replacing, I can't find new one's anywhere, even second hand they cost loads a money. pre 1999 there all over the place. And found out you need to take the sump off to replace the pipe on the left pfft. but there's always a silver lining the exhaust looks good someone has doused them in gear oil Edited February 15, 2024 by Vic101 Quote

That dose sound expensive, but options are always good. Quote
