Unfortunately, during our last tour I had a slight mishap and managed to hurl my three year old Shoei Neotec 2 across the road at the Col D’Agnes. A result of tripping and falling* when negotiating a stretch of rough path on my way down from the view point (well worth a visit but not if you drop your lid!).

I completed the tour and have had a couple of ride outs with the dropped helmet. Yes, yes, I know, you should replace it immediately 🙈

I’ve bought a Shoei Neotec 2 (my third Neotec)  and have just spent a happy hour swapping the  SRL2 intercom over.

The new lid came from Helmet City and cost £300.

My good lady’s helmet also needs replacing , being nigh on six years old. Also a Neotec we couldn’t find a suitable replacement at this bargain price, so will be buying her Neotec (3) from SportsbikeShop.  £619!!!!

I may have to lie down.

* I did an impressive roll and break fall, so my good lady told me. I remained uninjured. 🤦‍♂️

Addendum, yes, I’ll be using the link from this site when we get around to buying hers.

I would strongly advise you to have a look at Nolan (flip up) at helmet city

Glad you're OK tho. 👍

60 years of practice at being hit with a planet (Judo) has honed my falling skills. 😂

Have had my HJC I 90 for a few years so I treated myself :-)

Ordered a Nolan N100-6 from champion helmets in the Netherlands yesterday for 380 Euro ( about 320 stg)

I've become a Schuberth proselytizer. Best helmet I've owned.

Had to google that :-)

/ˌprɑː.sə.lɪˈtaɪ.zɚ/ a person who tries to persuade other people to accept a particular religious or political belief, idea, or way of life

I'm going to try a Viper modular next, British made and built in intercom. Sick of my Sharks visors breaking ☹️

Being off the bikes for nigh on 20 years I dug out my old shoei the other week. Was in it's bag, in the loft patiently waiting.

For 20 years. Lol.

I love it but figured it was probably time for a new one. There's less in my head to protect now I think but who doesn't like lid shopping? 😂

Fancied a flip front and ended up with an hjc i90.

In colours that match the bike obviously. 😂 £225 from j&s Eltham.

Just need a working bike and I'm away...😱😁

I've used an i90 for the past year, very nice quality helmet, but it's too big for me. It'll be a great spare.
