nman1 Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 I would do susie but I find music distracting when I`m trying to work. I love music outside of work though, my album/tape/cd collection will vouch for that Plus I`m getting older and a candidate for the "grouchy old men" programmes they come out with now. Only joking Quote
Susieque Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 I know just what you mean - I'm definitely in the Grumpy Old Women category!! Quote
spafe2302 Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 ear plugs nman? or would that be frowned upon in the work place?F**k it, this entire week has been solely reports sorting and checking, turning brain to mush, and this isnt even my job!!! Quote
Grumpy Old Git Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 I know just what you mean - I'm definitely in the Grumpy Old Women category!! Sexist! F**k It Quote
Susieque Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Hate employers who expect way too much from their employees!!!!!!!!!!!! They're bullies!!!!!!!!! F*CK IT!!!!!!!!! Quote
Rae Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 Sooooo, the weather's been awesome (sarcasm), my rota at work as mis-written, so i'm now working 6 hours a week less than previously thought, great fun. And just generally on a downer today. It's been shite! Quote

iWannaGoFast Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Absolutely scorching day today, hit 28.1 outside at work. The kitchen must have been about 30-35*C. Absolutely ridiculous. I've lost about half a stone through sweat. F**k it! Quote

Throttled Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 My new bike has had it tax taken by the last owner. The dealer will not use his insurance to put tax on it for me, even though I have said I will pay them. So if I pass my test on Wednesday I may have to wait till the weekend to get my insurance document through so I can tax the new bike. Then there is the issue of the time to change over the insurance.F**k it.PS I am going to leave my bike taxed, so the next person of who buys it does not have this problem. Quote
spafe2302 Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 If you tax it online rather than at the psot office then you dont need proof of insurance (so dont ahve to wait for document), jsut an idea Quote
Throttled Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Thanks I'll have a look at that. The DVLA do check to see if the bike is insured though and will not tax it if they cannot find any cover with their database. Quote
Grumpy Old Git Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 'Edit' - Sent before the above post was listed! Not quite true - The on-line method checks your insurance (and MoT) on line. If you don't have insurance 9at the time you do the on line request), then it won't accept it. F**k IT Quote
Throttled Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Ah, yes and I am scuppered as I need to the registered keeper, which I am not as yet. Thanks anyway. I have phoned my insurance company to ask if they would give me a cover note, they said no but can maybe rush through the policy and e-mail it straight away, so fingers crossed. So F**k it to the last keeper who wanted a few pounds out of the £53 it costs for a years tax. Quote
eastanglianbiker Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 i went to tax my bike online but couldnt as it was not showing up as insured online not even on askmid it showed up today same time as my docs arrived so missed out on great riding weather over weekend f**k it Quote
Susieque Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 throttled, did you buy it through a garage/dealers?It's not always the previous owner that cashes in the tax, if the garage took it in PX then they could well have cashed it in. No experience of this re: bikes but I do know it happens with cars. The dealer doesn't want something sitting there with the tax going to waste if he doesn't sell it quickly, so will cash it in.Bit harsh that he won't apply for the disc for you - others would. So F*ck it - meanie!!
