Add in your type rating (£15000 for the 737 with Ryanair) uniform etc etc. It is something I looked at a few years ago. Plan was to sell the house to fund my training. Made a decision in August then Sept 11th happened and there was a slump in air travel world-wide so redundant pilots everywhere. Decided not to do it as it would have been hard to get a decent job at my age with so many experienced pilots around so scrapped it. Thanks Bin F***ing Laden. It can be quite liberating having the freedom to go wherever you want at your own pace. I just rend to go and get lost then try and find my way back.P.s.
