  1. I do it 50/50, because i want the stamps in my book. I also get pay for major servicing as I'm likely to break my bike if I dont . Just booked in for a valve clearance check, every 12 months I'll get it in for a service and I'll do a service myself inbetween at 6 months.
  2. Thanks it’s confusing naming and that makes sense now .
  3. Is it definitely the lifter that’s the problem, and not the tensioner? Can you explain what the lifter does and why it starts to cause a bit of chatter? Just want to understand
  4. Recently got myself slightly confused and hope some of you boffins can clear things up for me. On the CBR and other Hondas the CamChain Tensioner is known to become faulty after time - this is the part people replace http://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/CBR600FS2-SPORT-2002/part_60152/ However on here item 3 is listen as the CCT, and item 4 - the one people replace is the CCT Lifter. https://www.bike-parts-honda.com/honda-motorcycle/600-MOTO/CBR/2002/CBR600FS2/Engine/CAM-CHAIN-TENSIONER/13MBW2E1/E__0400/1/3007 Are people changing the correct part and not using the correct name, or does item 3 need changing too?
  5. That sounds pretty good, but I'm also going to guess a tad out of my budget
  6. It was going so well until you suggested Welbeck gets a game . Not unless we’re 5-0 up against the swedes and I don’t think it’d be so east. However yes, very exciting times indeed. We will not be 5 up against Sweden. They have pontus and his magic hat. MOT Oh I agree. I’m expecting 0-0 for most of the game and possibly right through to penalties.
  7. Having a nosey at what puppies are sold for - incase I'm deemed illegible to rescue one and A quick look suggests a lab pup can be from £500 to over £1000. Is that just the breeders being greedy? I can't see what would increase the price so much.

  9. Has he still not got over you marrying his daughter He’s not my biggest fan
  10. No not at all, it’s insightful. We visited the dogs trust who advised we look towards puppies as the older dogs aren’t too good at integrating with small children. I also know all about the protective dogs thing as I was bitten by an Alsatian about 3 weeks ago - for being stood in the front garden and that was the father in laws :/.
  11. This is probably the most footballs been discussed on here, and it's people moaning about how much they're not interested .
  12. Well the house is already baby proof, so I guess that's at least half way to puppy proof and we're spending the time doing a bit of reading up on training them and what's involved. We had a form to fill out but that was really about our living arrangements, and what kind of dog we want and how much time we can afford to look after the pup. Nothing about what preperation we're doing unfortunately. However we're doing the reading now and nothing is putting me off too much yet . We put down a labrador or similar breed as a preference, but honestly I think I'd be open to almost any breed
  13. Oh this lot will argue over the colour of an orange, I wouldn't worry about it Yep Hoggs is quite right, one minute you’ll be insinuating the other persons an idiot the next laughing your head off at their posts. Reminds me of fighting with my brothers (the blood relation type not the mc type from another thread) a quick fight followed by a pint. Anyway what type of orange are we talking that annoying bronzey orange that could be brown? If so count me in, let’s go.... What about the green, unripe ones?
  14. Mrs Beefy is starting a new job soon which will mean we'll always have someone at home . So we put our name down for rescuing a puppy , not 100% sure I want one yet but the wait can be length and we can always say no if we get a phone call.
  15. I've gotta say, on the road I know people who do not use the rear brake and don't bother with it. However, why remove that extra 25% braking or whatever you'll get by applying the rear as well? It could be the difference between an accident or stopping in time.
  16. I've got two potential routes here. Can anyone advise which is the better ride? Choice is between the highlighted blue line, or the one to the left.
  17. I was not expecting that top 3 at all, throughout that race. Wow
  18. I think they were stolen and they were riding like pratts. We don't get too much London style crimes here where they have mopeds with no plates, we do get a lot of little shits stealing them and riding them like dicks though.
  19. 125s often use a little strainer inside the case as a filter. They just need cleaning out and putting back in. But then you need a new gasket for the clutch cover if you’re going to do that.
  20. 125s take about a litre of oil, I used to stick the most expensive stuff I could in, because it cost about £10 to change the oil. Anyone mentioned car oil yet?
  21. It might just simply need a new battery, soon as electrics play up you can get all sorts of issues. My battery was playing up recently and if I was cruising at 30mph the bike would jerk quite violently. New battery in and it stopped. Has it been sat for a while before you bought it? Might be worth giving it a good charge and seeing if it goes away.
  22. Okies, google suggests it could be a few different things. I'd get it back in the garage tbh if it's still under warranty.
  23. Just cuts out, revs drop when I pull in the clutch to change gear. Electrics all still work but it takes 4-6 starts for it to hold the revs at idle. I mean it does not cut out if I am standing at lights or junction etc, it is when I pull clutch in to change gear. When you try to restart it, does it fire up a little bit but not catch or is it compeltely dead?
  24. Whats the bike doing when it cuts out? Just stopping at the lights and it just cuts out or does it play up?
  25. That's kind of you beefy Silly mod/admin powers
