Literally just got off it after riding 290 miles to Aberystwyth and back the interesting way . Lovely . Not one photo , I just didn't want to stop .

This is me all packed up and ready to depart from my " Secret " camping site near Crawford in Scotland a few years ago . Sadly , when I went there last month it was a different story . Tyre tracks everywhere , litter , a rusting Fire Pit made from old car wheels and numerous squares of turf cut out and replaced but dead . Not a pretty site . It would not surprise me if access was barred by next summer .

One bike and a Harley .

How do you know it's one hot and one normal ? It might be one normal and one cold .

The Apricot Flapjacks take some beating too . I had Honey and Crystallized Ginger ice cream with my Rock Cake .

That's better , I must have sticking out feet . Now I can change gear without having to keep moving my foot on the peg .

When oh when is this foul and pestilent congregation of vapours that has seemingly enveloped the UK for a week going to blow away ? Sunshine and showers I can handle but this miserable blanket of murk has been passing overhead day and night for far too long and I'm fed up with it .

I think you can get a Pirelli Rosso 111 as well as a Michelin Scorcher .

Who knows ? Buy a £30 can off Amazon and see what happens .

I've never had an issue so far . It's astonishing how fast coverage has improved over the last few years . I can get internet access just about anywhere now but there are still a few blind spots notably the Red Squirrel campsite in Glen Coe where I spent a miserable 24 hours in torrential rain with absolutely f**k all to do . And then my bike got water in the electrics and went bonkers .

Fair enough , but if the bike in question has a pillion you need to get out of there fast . Bike jacking is real and you don't want to stick around to find out .

Being out of range on certain networks is not uncommon . I can't even get a trace of a Signal on Three ( 3 ) inside my flat despite being able to see a cluster of masts through my window . O2 ( Same as Tesco ) , on the other hand , works all over the place including the remote parts of Scotland ..

One thing of value that I have learned in life is that there is absolutely no point whatsoever in applying your standards of behaviour to any other person . There are no benchmarks for anything at all in modern society and that is why so many people appear to be so woefully adrift . What goes on in one person's head could be utterly unrecognisable to another person and the Niagara like torrent of shit that spews forth onto Social Media is prime evidence of this .

I would have headed straight to the police station or a public place with plenty of cameras .

If I had to choose one of the bikes you mentioned it would be the Bullet Heritage 50 because it is a replica of a Honda DAX from 1969 and it looks great . However , I would also agree with everyone else who has advised you to pass CBT and get a 125 . Riding a 50 on a Dual Carriageway in peak traffic times is dicing with death . Sooner or later a car is going to try to overtake you while another car is overtaking them . Then you've got the dark evenings to consider when riding a 50 would be almost suicidal .

To busy riding it . Went to the Royal Mail depot this evening to collect a package . Afterwards the bike somehow steered me to the wrong exit on the A45 island and before I knew it I was the other side of Banbury and heading deep into Oxfordshire. Came back via Woodstock and Shipston followed by a bit of Fosse Way . What an extraordinary machine . I used to do this sort of thing on my GSXR in half the time but I couldn't remember any of it .
