Can't you bump start it?

1st tyre was about half worn when I bought it. 2nd tyre, a Continental, good brand I thought lasted about 1500miles 3rd and current tyre, Mitas or something 4th Bridgestone coming up. I put it down to a heavy bike, 230kgs I think, puny 150x13 rear tyre and me riding it pretty hard.

Took the rear wheel out of the silverwing ready for another new tyre, 4th in 2 years and 13000 miles. Trying a Bridgestone this time.

Not today, but yesterday however the rain precluded any pics, an engine less Mini. One of the son in laws had a suitable 1275cc engine which was convenient.

Silly young woman on a road near home today. Went to work in the M3 to pick some things up, nearing home on a side road, goes to overtake a parked car when said woman just pulls straight off her drive behind the parked car and near craps herself when she sees the BM about to drill the side of her car. We both stop and she reverses back onto her drive without any apology and I drive by, watched her in the mirror and she hoons back out into the road and gone.

What about comparing a dual carriageway and smart motorway? Same speed limit , no hard shoulder. I think driver behaviour has much to do with crashes; not paying attention and following too closely.

Same here, the whole reason I bought the silverwing. I've done 3000 miles on it since the MOT last September , compare that to probably a couple of hundred on the R1in that time which I also haven't ridden since November .

The eldest grandson wouldn't forgive me as he knows he is going to inherit it . You never know it could be worth £20k one day, RG500s are up to £15k now. -

On my RGV once at Jack's hill cafe, bloke came up to me and he was all over it saying how much he liked it, etc etc, he then said these are worth £30 to 40k. Hmmm, don't think so..... -

We watched the summer and almost winter solstice sunrise last year from Avon Dasset country park. We were lucky with the weather in June, a slight gap in the clouds at sunrise was short lived and 10 mins later it was clouded over. The December event was held a day earlier as the actual day was a total washout. You can always rely on the British weather to try and have you over.
