I've been continuing my camper kitchen unit, got all the wiring done, battery fitted, fridge is on test run to see how much it uses in 24hr, going off the first 6 hrs the battery may be slighty overkill fridge is much more efficient than expected, it is in a double insulated cupboard, the walls are made with polystyrene and then I have polystyrene between it and the walls. The relay in the battery pic lives on the back rail I had it off to double check pins it switches to the van battery when it's plugged into the back of the van, although with a current estimated run time of a week I don't think it's going to need that feature.

Strip the loom out as it is, peg it out on a board work out what you want to keep, you can either use that to hold connectors where they need to be and remove and replace which wires you want, or make a duplicate board and make up the new one along side it. -
I'm not working, 2 weekends in a row......

Attending and requesting input for Road safety forum

I disagree with hgv on narrow lanes, the hgv problems are caused by idiots that get frustrated because someone is adhering to the speed limit, hgv's only tend to drive where they have too. No 1 issue is the drivers/riders, driving standards which encompass a multitude of errors, self obsessed social media junkies, me first I will do what I want, speeding, overtaking, jumping red lights it's all getting worse from everyone, I guarantee I could go out Tomorrow and get nocked over crossing a road by a junction because not one driver would expect to have to give way -
Not the kinda out out I was thinking of Glad your still healthy Sure it will be fine

Royal fail for the 3rd time and me for listening to the Mrs. Another form needed sending, they sent a nice envelope with reference no's and the manager who has taken ownership of it, I now believe they think I'm suspect or something I wanted to send it DHL, picked up at door guaranteed next day, no it's or butts. Wife says no, special delivery, fully tracked, insured upto 1k and guaranteed by 1pm following day. So 1pm been and gone, tracking shows it into and out of Glasgow, back to Edinburgh, calls them up to see what's up, ohhh errrr it's been diverted, why, don't know, where is it now, don't know, when will it be delivered errr next week FFS, I give up..........

Just got my renewal through for van insurance, was waiting for it with some trepidation having seen some of the ridiculous increases folk have had. It's come down by a good chunk 20000 miles used every day in rush hour which in reality means driving very slowly, personal and business use, go figure..... I'm not even going to go near a comparison site, I'm just going to let it auto renew and keep fingers crossed

It's to run the camper kitchen, will have solar charger capability, the heater is inbuilt into the battery to aid low temp charging, you can buy military grade batteries that will charge down to minus silly without a heater but the price is just mental.

I've just ordered a 230ah lithium battery made with grade A lifePO4 cells with Bluetooth and a heater and I'm going for a lay down in a dark room now and sob.......

@Micklyglad your sorted, I usually snip the thermostat bellows feed off the old one at the stat and tape the new one onto it and pull it through, did I not mention that bit oops, doesn't always work but mostly does and when it does it saves shed load if time. That price ain't too bad, the no one wanting to do it is the problem these days, most engineers and I use that term very loosely only want to replace things, I have no issues trying to repair things, folk have to be made aware that sometimes things just don't want to come apart.

Yup I'm my own worst enemy most of my issues have arisen from being too picky, I had to buy a digital caliper/depth gauge cause my eyes aren't upto it, Idea was to see how feasible making custom lightweight stuff would be, this one will go up for sale but I think it's going to prove too expensive, I plan on making a smaller more generic one and see how that works out.

I've made it to fit the rear of our Elgrand, one of the reasons for making it was to make as much use of the available space, I've allowed 1mm either side to the plastic trim at floor level , that and to buy a generic one was going to be almost a grand without the fridge, usually also no room for a battery you get pretty much no storage room other than the fridge, still have to supply your own battery and the fridge usually sticks out the front as they are deeper than most people want the unit to be. Compressor is remote from the fridge and lives in the left bottom with water, waste, battery which I can't bring myself to order cause it's going to make me cry Above that, storage and a draw and above fridge very big cupboard, 12v in or out on side and a double usb outlet.

Royal fail for their continued ineptitude. So on the very last day before my returned damaged passport would have been declared lost, they delivered it, sent registered, signed for next day, delivery 15 days later. To the wrong fecking passport office, sent to Glasgow, delivered to Durham
