Quite correct I’ll have a look at the dates - they’ve been under a cover in a dark corner of the garage since I got them. -

I thought it was a good idea to replace the garage’s yellowing plastic window panes with glass. In the last hot spell I was working in there and got a whiff of burning - after a quick look I found my soldering stand with magnifying glass burning it’s way through a plastic bag & some YSS stickers, thank god I was in there. I have since pinned some old duvet covers up at the windows until this madness ends.

This has happened to me a couple of times, most recently on a trip round Cornish lanes. I stopped in the middle of the road, got off the bike & told them that I don’t have a reverse gear & they do. They started shouting some bollox, I just shrugged my shoulders & leaned against my bike. They ended up reversing, had their window down as I passed to shout some more bollox I just revved the tits of my bike, not big, not clever but enormously satisfying.

Healeys Rattler does the same to me … I’ve seen they now do one with an 8•5% ABV Only seen it in boxes of 12 though, I’d need to try a single one 1st - if I bought a box of 13 and it was yummy things could spiral out of control very quickly

The Trophy is going into R&RP for jetting on Friday, but only dropping it off as going in hols, the dyno work may not be done for a week or so. If all is successful I want them to MoT it as well, so I’ve fitted the original number plate - should upset a few flag shaggers - hopefully

Load of bollox, it’s the moneybag owners of the franchise’s who are putting pressure on network rail to reduce the number of people required to run a train, putting passengers at risk. If they’re successful will it go into more investment or lower fares? Like fcuk it will, it’ll fund the huge exec bonuses of the franchises. If they’re successful in reducing staff on trains where will the people displaced work?? Sweeping platforms on a zero hours contract? After all they haven’t been made redundant just fcuked over.

Took the top hose off, removed the thermostat and checked it in a pan of water, haven’t got a thermometer that goes that high, but it opened on a light simmer, so I reckon it’s ok. Turned the bike over with the top hose off and the stat out and it was pumping water, so maybe it was all a false alarm and things hadn’t got hot enough to open the thermostat -

Advice required!! The Trophy starts but seems to be getting hot very quickly. I’ve taken off the radiator cap & the water does not seem to be circulating - it’s got a mechanical water pump that seemed fine prior to refitting - could it be just an air block? If so how would I find / cure it? Or is it more sinister? Thanks -

Washed the mighty Speedtriple & gave it a bit of a polish - it was filthy after the Cornwall trip, especially as one of the tags involved riding down a muddy stream. Car in the background is the neighbours.
