  1. I once managed to drop the back wheel of the Speedtriple down a ditch at the side of a very narrow road doing a 3 point turn having missed a tag … I was very lucky to have retrieved the situation without needing any help, which was just as well as I hadn’t seen any traffic for ages & it was in the middle of nowhere.
  2. Not at all, arrest them & prosecute them, not just shoot them coz you think they’re guilty.
  3. Itching to shoot an un-convicted suspect, he is NOT the law.
  4. Happy birthday @Mississippi Bullfrog hope you ‘ave a good ‘un
  5. ‘fraid I wouldn’t know, never been on Facebook, too many knobends on it from what I hear, more than on here and that’s saying something
  6. I was given a pair of Gerbing heated gloves for Xmas, but I’m yet to try them out. I was very pleased with the present, less than impressed at the price of the 2Ah batteries and charger which cost almost as much as the gloves.
  7. Now, what about the Cock Inn ? I suppose it’s a choice, either Bird or Naughty name ( fnar, fnar )
  8. Oh & a mythical beast as well?
  9. Does the Griffin Inn count as both a lion and an eagle? Asking for a friend
  10. Not Sportsbikeshop?? Naughty !!
  11. Number 35 again please
  12. I’ll always remember this, it had me in stitches & I used to ask the drivers of the No 62 to B’ham if they went to the Bob Newhart school of bus drivers, some of them actually had a little chuckle and one said that he’d obviously failed the course as I’d managed to get on and get seated … made my day.
  13. Merry Xmas to you all, don’t forget to turn the sprouts down to a low simmer tonight. Hope you all have the best time you can. No where left to go, nothing left to do ….
  14. Is that all in a caravan?
  15. We always drain down the caravan at the end of the season, thank god.
  16. Step daughter had a strange noise coming from her boiler cupboard … that’s all I had to go on It transpired that the exit pipe from the condensate pump had frozen somewhere in the loft. so it’s temporarily fixed with a short piece of hose & a bucket, hopefully the pipe hasn’t split & I’ll just have to lag it when the weather & my mood improves.
  17. Maybe not allowing adjoining counties, or it’ll be 2 for the price of 1 Eg ‘welcome to Cornwall’ then turn round and it’s ‘welcome to Devon’
  18. I took a Bobber Black out as a courtesy bike & really enjoyed the experience, the drawback wasn’t the wind buffering around the upper body but the way I had to grip the tank with my knees so hard to stop my legs splaying from about 90MPH, although when I mentioned it to the guy at the dealership he said I wasn’t really the target market
  19. Yeah, the insect strikes really sting … apparently
  20. It’s something you get used to. I ride a Speedtriple with only a pixie hat that just protects the clocks. I find speeds up to 80MPH for prolonged periods are perfectly fine, from that to around 120MPH causes some buffeting and neck ache, over that you feel the front going light, as you act as a sail unless you kiss the key, with your chin on the tank it gets really uncomfortable as you top out. Obviously on a private road
  21. Welcome
