  1. Still going ahead?
  2. Velvia, that’s expensive sounding toilet paper.
  3. Is someone running the country?
  4. That’s alright then, you don’t want it catching a chill
  5. HEY I just started watching on Boxing Day, no spoilers!
  6. Well it is winter surely a nice brushed flannel sheet?!
  7. Exciting times, you’ll never forget it, it still tickles me now when I think about those first test rides and buying that first bike post test, happy days.
  8. If your a slighter build the weight distribution can make a difference. I have two bikes the same weight but one feels light and is easy to move and one feels top heavy and I have to get off to move it. l have to treat them quite differently but you get used to it, the muscle memory (and the actual muscle) soon comes!
  9. It did seem to, let’s just hope it wasn’t in the small print of the paperwork you sign before riding off!
  10. What Gerontious said. Im 5’4” and being able to flat foot (or close to it) just makes everything much easier to start with. I got quite fed up with the number of people that said it didn’t matter, in the beginning there’s a lot of stuff that doesn’t happen automatically and you don’t really need stopping on an uneven camber with an unbalanced bike to be another thing to think about. My other half passed his test last year. For 6 months he was on a Harley and tbh his riding between ok and a bit frightening. Then after some discussion he had look at BMW F800GT and I was staggered by the immediate improvement. I can only assume he’s no longer wrestling with the bike and was able to pay attention to the riding. Now he’s on a completely different level. Take your time, there’s no rush, eventually a couple of the many bikes you’re looking at will become front runners, you suddenly find your repeatedly looking at the same few bikes again and again. I ended up with a shortlist after a couple of months and even though the dealers officially said no newbies they all just handed over the keys!
  11. It’s a big pic of Stu n Dynax sitting on the pile of money you lot keep sending them
  12. 5G is hotly anticipated around here. We already have an additional 4G mobile router on top of the usual mobile contracts to try and alleviate the stress the poor broadband causes. They said it would automatically switch to 5G when it arrives but it’s already better than the fixed line. My son had to upload some music coursework before Christmas and it nearly started world war 3! In the end I had to send him to a friends office nearby who pays over £300 a month for a dedicated line. BT stopped the rebates round here because it’s that bad! It’s the first question a home buyer asks now- what’s your speed?! I’m told “Depends on the bike” isn’t the right answer
  13. As soon as 5g is available I’ll be getting rid of bt broadband, I think their prices are ridiculous. But not as ridiculous as sky television (slightly off topic I know) but it slipped by me they were charging £90 a month for tv and £10 a month ‘insurance’ for the box. I suppose I stopped looking at the amount they charged when my boys were small because the children’s television, the sky movies and the sport were used all the time. Never crossed my mind someone could charge £100 per month- an insane amount for television that’s now rarely used. Even if they were a much cheaper provider of broadband they could take a hike. Companies that rip you off or mess you about don’t seem to comprehend you don’t forget and won’t be back. I hope Netflix finishes them!
  14. Well Helloooo Dolleeee
