  1. I'll read it it when I can't sleep
  2. Annoyed with myself for not making it to the run. Had a fitful night of trying to sleep, but brain would not shut down. Got up at 6am and had a early breakfast, then sat down to watch BBC news and do a crossword. Just before 9am I started yawning hell of a lot, so decided it would be dangerous to go out tired, so got back into bed. Woke up at noon
  3. I'll just go behind a tree, or something
  4. Is this a thread about creating a thread?

    Touring again

That does look a nice bike. Anything bigger than a 750 would be way too heavy for me to move around. I have really poor core strength, weakened after bowel surgery, and pushing the 600 around is hard work as it is so anything bigger is out of the question
  6. I've always worn PPE on the bikes, regardless of the weather. If I didn’t then I would have had a knackered right ankle after a estate car pulled out and turned right, leaving me nowhere to go. My right ankle was trapped between the bike and his wheel arch, but my forward momentum took me over the bonnet, dragging my ankle out with it. In the ambulance I would not let them cut the boot off, so unzipped it removed it myself, albeit in a lot of pain. I reasoned it had saved me so you can't ruin it cutting it off, it was armoured anyway so would have been difficult. When the docs checked me over they found "Only" severe ligament damage, but no breaks. They informed me the ankle will never be as it was, due to the damage, but if I had not been in those boots I would have lost it. I was off work, and ordered to keep all weight off the ankle for two weeks minimum. When I looked the boot over a bit later to see how it had faired. the top part from ankle area upwards was bent over at a 90% angle, despite that part being heavily armoured and only allowing the normal movement of the foot for walking. Annoyingly those boots were original Frank Thomas, and the best I've ever owned
  7. Yep Ditto
  8. I LOVE MARMITE!
  9. Blimey James, Where's that come from? It weren't that long ago you didn't seem particularly bothered that some scrote had nicked it. Don't give in to the little basterds
  10. Just read France have introduced a trial run of noise check microphones and may start fining bikes with loud exhausts
  11. It was to remind you to get a new head fitted
  12. Woman in moving traffic no hands on steering, instead she was using her mobile. Shouted at her to get off it. Do these effing morons leave their brains at home when they get behind the wheel? Next up was a recovery driver eating a takeaway, again while driving no handed. PS All this in a space of a couple of minutes today while out shopping
  13. Just use a large syringe
  14. I might pop that way tomorrow
  15. Just Google Street mapped the area and see no streetlights and no speedlimit signs either
  16. I've just discovered the place I got the ticket is nowhere near the place that I saw the van, and now has me confused. When I saw the van I had been out for a bimble, and came back home on a unfamiliar route along a one way system through Moulton, and had just come off a roundabout but I was among other light traffic, not gaining on anyone in front, so just going with the flow. The ticket was for speeding on the A4500 near Weston Favel shopping centre, from a manned camera. I don't remember seeing a van anywhere near that area, and it would stick out like a oversize wart on the end of your nose. There is a fixed camera on that road, but it is further along in a built up area, where the posh houses start and everyone slows down for that
  17. Well Mike, the more the merrier

  23. I have got a speeding ticket. 40 in a 30,but to be honest I never realised. I saw the van, but hadn't noticed the limit had changed, now have option of a fixed penalty or a speed awareness course
