  1. Probably not, the numbers should be jdentical if it's the same part. Have another look and see if you can compare the two together
  2. Have a look on CSMNL, (consolidated motor spares Netherlands limited) search under Honda for your bike, then check the exploded diagrams for carbs, find the part no for the diaphragm, then do the same for the other model. If numbers are the same your good to go
  3. Good find, FB, I looked on a lot of sites last night but never found anything to match OPs' bike
  4. The only part I recognise from a cg125 on it is the carb, and possibly the headlight Gov.UK does list it as registered 2001, but the bodywork is not from a 2001 version. The gear change is someone's idea, it should just be the front part. Look online for a site that gives info on engine/vin number definitions, put in the engine number and see what you have
  5. Flickering bulbs are a known symptom of a faulty reg/rec, along with the resin on the stator going brittle and breaking off the windings, (though I've no idea why that is). What are the voltage readings, taken with lights on and off? You should get 14.3 to 14.7volts shoeing as you rev up to 4000rpm momentarily
  6. There is a site called moto profil, and you can look up your bike possibly on there
  7. Just ordered a new seals kit from pyramid parts, will do front as soon as rear is back together. Should be able to bodge the exhaust for now with a bit of tubing
  8. I feel OK at the moment, but I know I will feel it tomorrow, and I have the weirdest looking little finger I've seen. I took the brace off to wash my hands, and have left it off for now to give it some relief
  9. We need a custard cream flan emoji. A custard cream in the face instead of a flan
  10. Hi Fish, I think the misleading reading is caused by resistance settings on the electronic dipstick. Mine is a series of contacts on a curved thing that sits in the tank, like a cistern filler, the old float thing
  11. I really need a bike lift. Ain't much fun removing swing arm whilst crouching on the floor
  12. Took it to bits. Dropped swing arm out, including rear shock, as lower mount bolt rusted in solid. Started prepping new swing arm and shock ready for fitting. Swing arm has some rust patches, so will kill with cure-rust then repaint, (anybody recommend a good rattlecan paint for it?) will keep it black, finish looks matt on new arm. With all this going on I found I have a broken exhaust at the connection between pipes and endcan, and I have a bad leak on one front fork seal. I must be mad, cos I have done all this with a knackered left shoulder an a fractured right little finger. So much for "keep it immobile"
  13. You say it's spinning over really fast, is the starter actually turning the engine over? If not it could be the starter clutch, or damaged idler or starter gears. Where are you based?
  14. Anyone else notice the fuel tap is upside down?
  15. Maybe it's a houseboat, (or a boathouse)
  16. Try here. https://m.louis.de-bikedatenbank
  17. It's a Cbf600sa8, basically a detuned version of the 600rr race engine
  18. If it is a carbed model, and I assume it is due to manual choke, your slow running jet needs cleaning out. 4000rpm means the main jet has took over feeding fuel to the engine, and, as the choke enriches the mixture its counteracting the blockage at low revs/tickover. The lumpiness at 2500 rpm is the engine hunting for fuel to keep running
  19. Thanks @MikeHorton
  20. Cheers, @Old-codger. That's a good start, but I see no downpipes on their site.
  21. With Motad no longer in the business of making OEM exhausts, seems they only do DD stuff, whatever that is. Who is the go to people for stainless exhausts? I'm not talking of Akro, etc, I want to maintain the original looks, and I'm not into loud pipes. An online search didn't show up anything, mostly generic tail pipe size stuff
  22. Nursing a broken finger. Using a power drill to make the holes in a ground anchor slightly bigger to accommodate the rawl fittings I have, and the bit, (from a crap set, I might add) chipped the cutting edge off. Bit jammed in hole, but drill wrenched my hand round, breaking my pinky finger. (finished doing that, then changed the instrument panel on the 600, to one that the odo and clock working, £96 from Italy, ten times cheaper than from Honda. Supposed to be OEM, and to be honest I can't tell the difference between the two of them, then went hospital with a weird coloured finger)
