  1. Looks like that blue stuff gave up a good fight. I wonder how it got up there??
  2. Are you changing the fork oil? After doing such a good on the externals it would be a shame not to do the internals and make the bike ride as good as it’s going to look.
  3. Apologies, I misunderstood your OP You should be able to find a microfiche online for your bike and that will give you the dimensions of the bolts. Then, like you say just get some slightly longer ones. Hopefully you’ve got the right ones ordered already.
  4. I wouldn’t use just a single bolt to secure your mount to. It’ll shake and bounce all over the place. You need at least two anchor points to keep the mount stable. The bar above the clocks looks like a perfect place to look at mounting One on Ali Express https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006012292909.html?UTABTest=aliabtest481469_657498&src=google&src=google&albch=shopping&acnt=708-803-3821&slnk=&plac=&mtctp=&albbt=Google_7_shopping&albagn=888888&isSmbAutoCall=false&needSmbHouyi=false&albcp=17858129175&albag=&trgt=&crea=en1005006012292909&netw=x&device=m&albpg=&albpd=en1005006012292909&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD6I-hHBjMiLeriQxekyT0f2vOoHv&gclid=Cj0KCQiAwbitBhDIARIsABfFYIKUnWmlsx6NNDL3xwYELJCXPjc5xxaLcB1FnsIhjnAGqH3wX6co9DYaAg9WEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds&aff_fcid=67d8864db2dc4120bdd9ed40f648f804-1705951322356-05906-UneMJZVf&aff_fsk=UneMJZVf&aff_platform=aaf&sk=UneMJZVf&aff_trace_key=67d8864db2dc4120bdd9ed40f648f804-1705951322356-05906-UneMJZVf&terminal_id=f94011e3f5a64fdf9a16d7b5869761e5&OLP=1086700608_f_group3&o_s_id=1086700608&afSmartRedirect=y FC Moto https://www.fc-moto.de/epages/fcm.sf/?channable=02099069640039363039323835363884&ObjectPath=/Shops/10207048/Products/"GPS.11.823.10001/B"&Locale=en_GB&srsltid=AfmBOorfWvJUx_Zr8v5z0IIj0upqe1vGKemkj8iIiVAbvsNpWV4qmEJHHJE SW MOTECH https://sw-motech.co.uk/products/gps-mount-for-cockpit-black-triumph-tiger-800-800-xc-xr-10-17?variant=37388636848289&currency=GBP&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&srsltid=AfmBOorOOVwaEu2_s6NPuNsW-4kFfUjZ89l3n8D9Xs0JcdqoRJO7vZveSCQ
  5. Can’t afford the energy bill to keep them warm enough in the country is my guess They should have reached out to someone, unless it’s illegal to have these animals.
  6. 2006 at the age of 35. CBT Theory 1 hour on a 125. 6 hours on a 500 Test 500 lessons was a couple a week. I had ridden my mate’s bikes illegally for a bit when I was 14 and then 18. I was a Driving Instructor at the time I passed my bike test. Can’t remember how much it was but the CBT was £100 and lessons were about £20. Don’t know how much the theory and test were.
  7. Have a look at the LOMO dry bags. I think they are a better option than soft panniers. It will sit on the rear seat sideways and not make the bike as wide as panniers. Get a set of bungees, or better still ROCK STRAPS to fix the dry bag in place. Use your foot peg to get on and off the bike when the dry bag is on instead of struggling to fit your leg through and over the seat. The side stand will take your weight
  8. ACF50 can reverse rust build up too. Obviously it depends how bad it is in the first place. I would definitely clean it off as best you can then apply the ACF and give it another clean after a week or so. A couple of repeats and I think that should sort it from what I’ve seen.
  9. I stopped playing just before I found out I needed to start wearing glasses. I did try a couple of times in the social club, but as you say, it’s not good with glasses. Luckily I had lens replacement surgery 3 years ago due to having cataracts (at 50 ffs!) I don’t need glasses anymore I practice twice a week and play on a Wednesday night now.
  10. Good job it wasn’t a Power Stroke
  11. I’ve taken up playing pool again after a 15 year lay off. Before that I played l local league pool for 20 years. I joined a team 3 games into the winter season last year and I’m playing better than I ever did. Loving it!
  12. My new year is ruined now Kevin ffs!
  13. You’ve also got to think about clearance for the fairing. Those clip ons and yoke will have been designed for the fairing or vice verse. Just bare that in mind @Simon Davey I think after more hours in the saddle you’ll be ok. I think you are just very rusty.
  14. Grip the tank with your legs and keep your arms as relaxed as possible. The bike will balance itself and all you need to do is push the bars to change direction. Try to keep your forearms parallel to the road and only very lightly grip the bars (more resting your hands around). This should improve things for you.
  15. Looked more like he was replying to a post on TMBF than asleep.
  16. 90º is plenty. Lifesaver is only to make sure no one is alongside you in your blind spot. You shouldn’t need to twist right round.
  17. …and I thought this was going to be a more interesting topic!
  18. I imagine the brothers were already known by the po po and they were all on first name terms. Would be nice if we could all protect our property like that though…
  19. We already have those stations, and maybe more will appear, but the amount of real estate they will need to store the tanks will be massive. There will be a high probability that you could get to a station and there are no full tanks ready to be swapped over.
  20. So every single filling station will have to stock these swappable fuel tanks? Looks like they will take up a lot of space. I’m all for hydrogen fuelled vehicles and always have been, but they will have to eventually make those tanks a lot smaller to make this direction for bikes more viable…
