  1. Sorry on the ZRX and at 4 mins 39 secs lol. Cheers Ian
  2. Thanks for that @Bianco2564 I see Carol and myself o the ZRX feeling a bit tall with the Monkey bikes at 13 mins 50 secs in ! I hope they didn`t have Monkey pox ? Cheers Ian
  3. Met the monkey bikes at a roundabout on the road to Crick when a marshal looked over her shoulder and asked if we were goint to the festival so I said yes and she said feel free to join the ride in ! We were parked opposite that H1 in your pics lol. Cheers Ian
  4. Hi @Bianco2564 I see you spotted the monkey bike contingent lol. It was a hoot riding in with them. I also spotted that LC and the RG350 beside it, both looked nice and used and definitely not trailer queens. We Parked the ZRX down near the Courthouse pub and enjoyed a leisurely stroll about and was very impressed with the numbers who turned out. Only saw 2 Gen 1 Busas and one Streetglide and 1 Tigger 1050 so I am glad I took Rexxy as I didn`t see another one there. Cheers Ian
  5. Un no particular order just some things we saw that were interesting or just different. Being invited to join the ride in was nice and we filtered in with the monkey bike crowd which made me feel very tall l. cheers Ian
  6. That's the way we came. Cheers Ian
  7. @billy sugger did you find a route that avoided the tedium of the A14 then? Cheers Ian
  8. It`s tomorrow ! @billy sugger Cheers Ian
  9. Thanks for the tip ! We will endeavour to turn up ! Cheers Ian
  10. @Mickly I wonder just how much those tits cost her lol. Cos they ain`t 60 ! Cheers Ian
  11. I like the thoughts from @Mickly and @Throttled have come up with and had similar thoughts when I saw "Flat rabbit road" near Warwick the other day! Cheers Ian
  12. So somewhere 25 miles away then back Lol. Cheers Ian
  13. Hi @Steve_M I don`t suppose you recall a cheap or even free way to get a workshop manual for said Tiger? Cheers Ian
  14. Don`t worry as Keith says drilled discs quite often produce a very fast ticking sound especially if the new pads are a different compound as the previous one so tyhe pitch of the noise could alter and become more noticeable. Cheers Ian
  15. I have worked on a couple of these and they don`t seem to have any major problems. It is worth trying to ensure the front cylinder and HT lead are as protected as possible from the elements especially if you intend to use all year round. A good choice I would have said. Cheers Ian
  16. pulled the pin and went for the Triumph Tger so now thinking about advertising the Busa. cheers Ian
  17. Very fair point ! I have seen some great deals but always seem to find out about them just that bit too late lol. Cheers Ian
  18. Are you near to a branch of J&S or the Sportsbike shop? Best bet is to do the old fashioned try on in store bit! My own RST 2 piece leathers feature trousers that feel comfortable and protective and funnily enough feature the velcro pad ready for sliders. All the textile or jeans type trousers have the internal pockets and armour which you could always upgrade seperately if you felt the need. Cheers Ian
  19. Sorry I should perhaps clarify. The sliders on the outside of leathers are not about protecting you in the event of an off but about allowing you to let your knee come into contact with the ground or in extreme circumstances exert pressure to save a slide and as such have little relevance on the road (apart from fashion lol). Cheers Ian
  20. And that is the slider or protector in jeans. I think the OP was talking about the external slider or "puck" that sits outside leathers and is a completely different thing and not really part of the protection for your knee. Cheers Ian
  21. Go on then be a devil ! Cheers Ian
  22. For what it`s worth the position of knee sliders is usually based on someone being in the full on mating frog racing position which it is unlikely you will achieve in every day road riding. Also the reason they are removable by velcro usually is partly that on the road they don`t enhance your protection but actually worsen it. Think if you like how they would grab at anything like kerbs etc or not slide at the sort of speeds in a road off incident. I know there are guys out there driving hard enough on the road to warrant sliders but as I have no wish to end up showering with strangers I will leave them to it and save the sliders for trackdays. Cheers Ian
  23. That`s a nice American take on a goldwing ! I thought the Dyna was portly lol and that`s 1584. Cheers Ian
  24. Just stood in front of a Tiger 1050 with ALL the trimmings down to the zip off tailpack and I have to admit it seems to tick a lot of boxes and a lot cheaper than the equivalent BMW. I take your point about the sports tourer bit as an owner of a Busa which is often hyped as both lol. Cheers Ian
  25. I wish I hadn`t started this looking lol. I now have a shortlist GSX1000GT, Ninja 1000SX Tour, Tiger 1050 with all the bits, BMW R1250RT. Head spinning with all the options lol. Got to start touring dealers now to see what they are like in the flesh. Cheers Ian
