  1. How strange this is just the question I have recently been asking myself after several 300mile + days dashing up and down to Dorset several times a month and I will be interested in peoples thoughts. I am getting a bit bored with the neck problems the Busa`s riding position gives if you are pressing on and making progress lol, I would like more comfort but don`t particularly want to sacrifice pace and presence. Cheers Ian
  2. @teo63 Your GS is beautiful ! Would I be right in saying a 2/4 seat and Motad exhaust but otherwise standard ? Cheers Mr jealous lol. Ian
  3. Thank you all very much! I am celebrating my 60th in Lanzarote and I have a hire bike at my disposal so some bimbling is in order I think! Cheers Ian
  4. Hi I would have loved to join you for that but we don`t get back to the UK till Sunday. Please keep us posted about this event. Chers Ian
  5. I believe the bikes are crated partially assembled with oil in but the dealer has to fit some items including the battery ready to go out the door. This was certainly the case with Suzuki when I worked there and I believe all Japanese bikes are the same. So I would expect that it is still standard practice. Cheers Ian
  6. If you cast your minds back discrimination in the 70`s was turning up at a pub and finding a note on the door that said "No leather jackets! I seem to remember around the same time signs that said "No Blacks or Irish". Fortunately we live in more enlightened times ! Cheers Ian
  7. Ah the good old Mason`s Mitre! Still its a good excuse to get another 10mm ratchet spanner lol. Cheers Ian
  8. I have a pair of those boots and can thoroughly recommend them. 3 +years in now and very comfy never wet and very warm. Cheers Ian
  9. I am fairly sure you will find it there easily. Cheers Ian
  10. Hi @linuxrob did you do a thread on the kit and methods you use for your plating? I would be very interested in learning how easy and cost effective it is? Cheers Ian
  11. I have been using their headers and one of the stubby cans for about 4 years now and I have no complaints especially when you factor in the price differential. End cans tend to shed their baffles but I haven`t worried about it yet and MOT`s have been fine. Cheers Ian Oh and @Trace they are Soo cheap !
  12. I know it is eye wateringly expensive but the best is without doubt the "Whale " tool. Used by pro garages but they get enough use to justify it whereas us mere mortals probably don`t. I did hire one from a bike shop once and loved it. Cheers Ian
  13. Wemoto`s April fool was rubber handlebars ! Fully adjustable and great for damping out potholes bumps. Cheers Ian
  14. Whilst I appreciate your point I tend towards the line I took because Gov bodies in general (DVLA for example) are so bad they don`t improve unless they are held up in public for their failings. Cheers Ian
  15. I know you are both busy people but for that level of stupidity I would be quite happy to have my day in court and put it in the public domain ! Might be worth contacting a journalist and see if they are interested. Cheers Ian
  16. Hi Guys I have these 2 paddock stands which need a home one is a Micron rear and the other is a front. £20 the pair if someone collects near Kettering Cheers Ian
  17. You could try asking the people at David Silver as they would likely be able to tell you and send a replacement ! Cheers Ian
  18. cleaned my best girl again lol Been sneaking out for evening rides which has accumulated suprising amounts of crud which needed removing. After all she is 18 years old now cheers Ian
  19. I would question the legality of this on the street or in some countries in Europe for a start ! Cheers Ian
  20. As someone who owned Ducati desmos back in the 80`s I would stay well away from starter sprag clutches unless absolutely necessary. Horrible little mechanisms prone to spitting small bits all over the place don`t ask me how I know lol. Cheers Ian
  21. That looks a pig to get to lol. If it`s awkward it might be a clue as to a lack of maintenance which may be a clue as to your non starting issues and worth the effort of checking. Cheers Ian
  22. As you are only using it to check the system and start the engine it shouldn`t matter too much but once you get it going best to run with the correct battery. while you are at it have you checked the air filter housing to ensure the free flow of air ? Forgive me if you have already mentioned this but I am only dipping in and out of here lol. My thought is based on experience of rodents setting up home in an air box in the past. Cheers Ian
  23. Hope you get the tools to look carefully at the plugs etc. For what its worth Seafoam is quite well thought of however take the can of Easystart and put it completely out of reach ! Carb cleaners and othe things are available and will cause less problems in the future. Cheers Ian
  24. Welcomed an old friend back to the garage. She is now fully fit and raring to go.
  25. You should hear a ZRX on a closed throttle from about 60mph downwards lol. Fookin luvverly ! Cheers Ian
