  1. As with all secondhand items "caveat emptor" but from personal experience I can see nothing wrong 70`s Japanese bikes, in fact get yourself a copy of the book "Superbikes of the 70`s " from the team at the old publication Motor Cycle containing tests by John Nutting and a good connection to Fleabay and spend your kids inheritance ! Cheers Ian
  2. Wow I must have slept through that one lol. Must pay more attention. My 2004 ZRX is the earliest thing I remember where the light on/off switch was missing. Cheers Ian
  3. I thought it was like Saab`s and Volvo`s someone started doing it and common sense meant other manufacturers followed. Does this mean my old GS750 shouldn`t have been granted it last few MOT`s as I rode it to the test centre without the lights on and the tester had to turn them on ? Cheers Ian
  4. Please bear in mind he would be the man to call in lol. Cheers Ian
  5. Picked up the new girl now @fastbob has adopted the Dyna. In the garden and I cat find anything to clean even after a 100mile journey home lol. Cheers Ian
  6. Ha Ha I personally don`t think so but if I did decide to sell it at some point I would probably ask around on here anyway. By the way there is a very clean 2005 Hayabusa waiting to be sold which I must get on with cleaning and advertising. Cheers Ian
  7. You are very welcome @fastbob I hope you will be very happy together. The sissy bar and rack are quick release which is nice. Cheers Ian
  8. I know it`s not helpful but I have just waved goodbye to my Harley Dyna superglide (1584cc) to it`s new and I hope happy owner and rather than go responsible and economic I am afraid I will be collecting a 2019 1838cc Fatboy at the weekend. We can`t take it with us lol. Whatever choice you make I believe you live with it and make the best of it. Cheers Ian
  9. Deffo agree with @MikeHorton on this one get the secondhand lever and keep the original for the next owner. My boots worn for touring are very different from the boots I use to commute or do short hops and I don`t want to damage my gear change lever by multiple adjusting so I got spares for the bikes likely to be used for long trips. Cheers Ian
  10. Off back home tomorrow and then start plotting a way to get to Nottingham to pick up the new bike! Whoop Whoop Cheers Ian
  11. Hi @dynax Yes I did pop in and they were a friendly and accommodating bunch. It was nice being in a taxi as well so I didn`t have to worry about driving. Cheers Ian

  14. Thought I'd give the Dyna a little bit of a polish following yesterday's mot. Also we used her for a little shopping trip! before After. Cheers Ian
  15. Hmm @Ivan I seem to remember an article in the late lamented UBG about someone who had several of those GTR`s I don`t suppose that was yourself? Either way I concur it has always been held up as an example of comfort. Cheers Ian
  16. I think I am billeted in the premier inn Willmington drive so that sounds very possible. As long as there is no penalty for turning up in a car lol. Cheers Ian
  17. Happy Birthday @dynax I am up your way for a course tomorrow and Tues let me know of any good pubs I may be a tad bored lol. Cheers Ian

    Good reply @fastbob Cheers Ian
  22. I do sympathise but for a saving as significant as £30 I would put those feelings firmly to one side and order online. It`s sad the way the shopping experience has gone, I even feel slightly uncomfortable about self scanning in shops as that leans towards fewer staff and jobs are going to become more important as we move forward in these uncertain times. Cheers Ian
  23. @Fridge03 Welcome aboard and I hope your journey is eyeopening and rewarding Yes riding gear can be bought secondhand but you are right to get the helmet new. Cheers Ian
  24. She does have a rather large rear end that`s quite true ! Cheers Ian
  25. I really should stop visiting bike dealers lol. 2005 Busa definately up for sale now and talking to a gentleman I know about my Dyna Super glide as well. Cheers Ian
