1. It is that ! I found it best to read it as if I was the recipient of the letters he uses to construct the narrative and then fairly quickly I was away. I will be trying more of his stuff over the xmas break as I find him quite an intriguing character and more complex than I at first gave him credit for. Cheers Ian
2. I read Neil Peart`s Ghost Rider tales from a healing road and once I had got into it I really enjoyed it. His prose style is disjointed but very descriptive of his mood and feelings and he clearly loved his time alone and away from the pressures that his circumstances had dictated. Cheers Ian
3. Spoken like a true expert ! Cheers Ian
4. Oh God you are right ! Didn't he have some sort of all over rubber suit hanging somewhere ? (and trains Euuch!!). Cheers Ian

7. Using laptop and the clearing of cookies has indeed sorted it. Many Thanks @dynaxand @Bender. Obviously a little early in the day for me lol. Cheers Ian
8. Hi @Stu is it me or is the website for Thesportsbike shop down? I have tried to access via the link, then by google and finally using the Knox link posted by @Bender in the trousers thread. All give me the same blank page but complete header. Appreciate your thoughts. Cheers Ian

13. Has your ST1300 always been called "Pam" or only since @Stu moved your details on to the new system lol. Cheers Ian
14. Hmm interesting new place to play in ! A bit of learning required but pleased to see the bus driver managed it without the help of the ascerbic ex pat. Cheers Ian
15. Thanks for the tip ! I shall bear it in mind next time I wish to procede out at a leisurely pace with no particular timescale in mind! (Post edited for people not currently using English as their first language, possibly bought on by too frequent encounter with European lorry drivers?). Cheers Ian
16. The soon to be old forum software update caused issues, one of those caused problems with the database, they were becoming more of an issue with updates, the solution was to move to a platform that's paid for and not free. So those of us that could help did. No one on here regardless of donations will be looked upon any differently, it's not how this place works. I am sure anyone making a last minute bid for TOTY will look at everybody differently in an effort to induce a flounce. Maybe even Six30 will use it as a last minute game sealing tactic. Cheers Ian
17. Boring start to the day with an online speed awareness course Possibly even more tedious than the old classroom variety lol. Finished about 11.00 a.m so figured as the weather was so nice I had a little trundle round Oundle down to Thrapston on to Corby then I thought why not have a bite and a coffee out at Uppingham. Rats!!! Burger van shut. Oh well bimble back. Breezy but really nice. Only saw anout 6 other bikes taking advantage of the lovely weather but it is a Tuesday after all. Bet the weekend is poo by comparison. Cheers Ian
18. Possibly a silly suggestion but the petrol performance car you desire at the last minute with a view to lasting for a long while and then a LPG conversion to mitigate fuel prices/restrictions. hopefully see minimal depreciation. As we are generally a fairly mature bunch I am hoping we will have something that some soft headed youngster will pay over the odds for lol. Cheers Ian
19. Just imagine how unbearably smug anyone working in the sales of second hand cars will be ? Not casting aspertions at anyone on here as such but I am sure I can here rejoicing from down "Sarf" somewhere. Cheers Ian
20. I have registered as I am genuinely interested. Look forward to hearing what they have to say. Cheers Ian
21. Release your inner hooligan ! You know you want to. That looks a lot of fun and a right little ticket to chatting with magistrates. I thoroughly approve. Cheers Ian
22. In the event of a problem I am sure those original headers can go back on ! I keep all OEM parts when I make changes. Cheers Ian
23. Stu I might be wrong but if you look at UK Busas.org that has a similar feel to the link you posted. Is that the same thing as it`s very easy to use and a good format. Cheers Ian
