1. I am sure Derbyshire could accommodate more than that lol. We can all stay wherever and from recent experience I can guarantee the locals are welcoming the business. Cheers Ian
2. Posted elsewhere but I have suggested a meet up at the end of the summer near Matlock I hope some of you consider it ? If the idea has legs maybe some of our mods could bump and promote it. Cheers Ian
3. On a similar note, Carol and I are thinking of going back to Matlock during early October and we will probably book to stay at the Duke of Wellington which is just up the hill from the town. Would you or Six30 be interested ? Obviously the more the merrier. Hey Tiggie or Bender Why not come and meet your subjects , no excuses as it`s fairly central regardless of where you live and even Six30 has found it successfully. Cheers Ian
4. Just a couple of thoughts which I am sure you have covered but just hoping to help. How long has this incorrect information been out there? Have I inadvertantly perjured/ mis repesentented myself to official bodies due to DVLA`s incompetence? Should the information have been correct and I witheld it how much would I have been liable for? (This would be starting point for compensation lol). I know they will say they cant be held responsible for administrative errors But I damn well think they should be !!!! Good luck and I look forward to your email as I know how pithy and incisive you can be ! Cheers Ian
5. To be fair hindsight and research is all very well but how many of us do that kind of research for 1 night stopovers? I feel for you and hope that 1 day you will find the scumbags and coincidently be driving a muck spreader or something that can deploy explosives! Cheers Ian
6. Bit busier today lol. Somewhere in there are a pair of his and hers Panigales with consecutive personalised plates which arrived having been ridden very hard. Oh and I wanted to kidnap the Hailwood rep lol. Cheers Ian
7. Is it working? Cheers Ian
8. After sir. I am just off the A14 if you decide to cut west when you reach the A1. Cheers Ian
9. When you drop onto the A1 above Cambridge, Should you decide to head West and use the A14 (Horrible road but convenient) Give me a shout and I will meet you for a trundle. Cheers Ian
10. Well done. When do you start to ride North? If I am up and about might try to find you on the road. Cheers Ian
11. Yeh, but they are really nice calories. Totally agree with you there. I am tasked with trying to build myself up after this recent inconvenient bout of illness so might head over tomorrow morning especially if anyone is going to be about?? Cheers Ian
12. Fair point ! I always tell newbies you cant stop yourself putting your hands out to save yourself as it is hard wired into you. Therefore gloves are a no brainer, Just think of all the things you cant do if your hands are goosed. Seems to concentrate the mind lol. Cheers Ian
13. Not possible mate. But if you fancy a cuppa or a beer as you pass the A14 on your way up and we will happily put the kettle on / open the fridge weather dependent. Maybe bungee that seat to your pillion. Have a nice trundle. Cheers Ian
14. Cant wait to see ! When did the weather turn? I saw the top speed runs werent that impressive, how did the wheelie guys get on? Cheers Ian Well it was chucking down with rain pretty much all the way down to Elvington so I was thinking that it might have been a wasted journey but it was just a drizzle when we arrived and stayed that way on and off throughout the day though the runway was constantly getting a dry line, fastest we saw was 235 top speed and 190 odd wheelie. Think they were struggling abit with the fairly blowy headwind Sounds about right. Sometimes when you`ve spent the kind of money those people have they would run in the snow if they had to. As I told you before once went too early on drying runway and had it sideways at 140 + which scuppered my head for the rest of the day and others had to point out to me that I was just burning fuel and holding back. Lesson learned ! Fair play to the wheelie guys in any kind of headwind in my opinion although Nev said he preffered that to a side wind (Nutters the lot of em !). Cheers Ian
15. Hope you had a good time ! Did you get any pics???? Cheers Ian I did have a good time despite the slightly horrible weather, I got a fair few pics though don't think they were the best quality Cant wait to see ! When did the weather turn? I saw the top speed runs werent that impressive, how did the wheelie guys get on? Cheers Ian
16. I have always wondered if there is a correlation between the number of twats on scooters with shorts and triners and the look of the toppings on the pizzas they deliver lol. Cheers Ian
