  1. To be honest Rich, what are people supposed to do if a whole family is in isolation? Rule out neighbours because most neighbours hate each other and their lives are incomplete if they're not spying on them on the internet and making trouble for them. Rule out family, not everyone has family that can help. Rule out supermarket deliveries because through their incompetence they've allowed shortages to happen. This could be the end of civilisation as we know it. It's not incompetence but just a logistics issue. There's only so much stock that can be kept in store, and only so many lorries, drivers and staff to maintain these stock levels with people panicking. Throw into this staff being off work because they are either sick or scared and it's even more difficult. Also when the stock does come in they aren't doubling or tripling the price like some unscrupulous suppliers, especially online. Supermarket workers are up there with the NHS workers at the moment in my opinion.
  2. If you can get down to the Loo roll Valley can you pick me up up few? Thanks
  3. I spoke to my mother yesterday and she said that Asda had "run out of toilet roll, and lettuce." Necessity is the mother of invention, I guess... I got lettuce but it was pre shredded. Very messy, I gave up in the end and used a cucumber
  4. ...and then kick it into 1st and watch the little f*cker fly. I've often wanted to do this to 17 year olds revving the nuts off there little pop pops at traffic lights but not to my own bike lol
  5. Kids love bikes so them sniffing around is to be expected but the Dad has no business putting him on it. If I'm near my bike and people with kids show interest then I'll ask them if the wanna have a sit on it, even start it up and let them give it a rev if they don't look too sensetive. I find most people are very respectful but there's always one idiot. Sure sounds lucky for them that they managed to do all this so quickly that you couldn't go all Sons of Anarchy on them. How far away were they that you could see all this but not confront them before they got away?
  6. Why is nobody trying to help this man? #brokenBritain
  7. Not named after girls, Xena is named after the warrior princess of the same name played by Lucy Lawless who is very much a woman, as is Bridget who is named after Bridget Fonda as play on words Bridget Honda My mistake, I feel like a right plonker now.... Wasn't intending to single you out dynax although I do appreciate it could easily come across that way. I realise I am probably in the minority of people who don't at least use "her" when describing a bike. At least now I have an easy way if working out which one you're talking about. Although calling them Bridget and Jackie Chan would have made it even easier
  8. I'm sorry, maybe English isn't your first language DIddums Think that's the correct retort for a child Well I was replying to a child
  9. I think that's bit harsh calling him a nonce Not calling anyone anything. What's your bikes name?
  10. Really? You could just exercise your powers of self administration and ignore this thread. What is it with people on here running to mummy? Stu is the daddy you numpty I'm sorry, maybe English isn't your first language
  11. I don't care what size bike anyone has, or even where it comes from... But giving them girls names... There should be a register for people that do that. Oh wait there is... The sex offenders register....
  12. Really? You could just exercise your powers of self administration and ignore this thread. What is it with people on here running to mummy?
  13. An afternoon greenlaning in Wales. Only one rather pathetic fall courtesy of the stumps I have where legs were supposed to grow. Apologies for the quality but that's what a £13 video camera (including a range of various mounts and a waterproof case) gets you!
  14. Hopefully there's some decent weather on the way to welcome you back onto the road.
  15. Change job. Make sure at the interview that there will be no need to take anything home. Don't wanna end up in this pickle again.
  16. If you're that worried about fuel economy you'd be better off becoming MAMIL
  17. Same as the government always do. "Buy this new vehicle, it's good for the environment so we'll charge you less....". Once the majority of people have made the switch that then becomes the demonised vehicle and taxes are hiked up. Keep a look out for the electric vehicle battery scrappage tax in the not too distant future. Those things aren't gonna compost very well. I drive a self charging hybrid. To my mind they are all smoke and mirrors. It's far less economical than my previous car, a diesel Volvo V40, but it's extremely company car tax friendly which is the only cost that affects me personally.
  18. How long would it take to do a quick swap over for the MOT if it didn't pass?
  19. I agree it's fairer, but regulations rarely take fairness into consideration. Plus with the move to electric vehicles they're unlikely to switch road licence costs to fossil fuels at this stage. I don't get how the current system works. My wife's car is £30 a year to tax but both my bikes do more to the gallon but cost more to tax. How does that work? Perhaps they know that the first thing most people do with a bobber is throw that fat cat in the bin and fit an x-pipe
