  6. I've suggested a solution for the lack of skilled labour in the UK... But do they listen? Of course not... My solution: Invite Poland, Romania and Bulgaria to leave the EU as UK did (they are dying to leave). Then invite those countries to become part of the UK. That not only wind up the EU but will solve the problem with recruitment

Take the suspect to court immediately and have a competent judge to apply the law accordingly. I share the opinion that police have not enough knowledge of the law to apply it accordingly to the infraction. Instead, make Advance motoring as minimal mandatory for license holders. A driving license is a permit for having a weapon and should be treated as such. Instead of having a license just because somehow you managed to attend 20 lessons and to pass an outdated test, make it a proper learning process and effective testing to guarantee that when you have your license to kill you know what you're doing. Would you subject yourself to a brain surgery done by the hospital porter? NO! You would want to have a good surgeon. So why give a driving license to someone who have no idea what safe driving is?

  10. The only time I don't mind a woman screaming at me
  11. Ideally you will get a water based paint. These are now becoming widely available. You will still a dedicated primer for any type of ABS or polycarbonate plastic type. These have adhesion promoting specs that will allow paint to be sprayed onto plastic. You will find it in most car parts shops.
  12. Good wet morning Snow? not a sign of it but very cold. After yesterday's short trip I realised that my waterproof trousers need replacement. What I need to figure is if I need a overall waterproof or just 1 pair that are also waterproof for my touring.

  14. If I was to spend that amount on the kit why would I think about saving £100 in having it fitted by a professional and have the warranty if it goes wrong. DIY doesn't have a warranty
  15. The cow works better than a cowbell because it only make noise when you pull the tail
  16. The horn you can replace with a cow. Are you calling me McGiver @Bender? You can get a R50 for less than that...
  17. Of course you can I just did. I was lucky years ago in finding a semi professional tripod for a tenner in a charity shop. But experiment using the wrong technique is not as fun as exploring the limits using the adequate equipment. If you use one maybe you find a hidden talent. Having said that, the photos are good considering is a first go
  18. That's like riding a bike without helmet just to see if you like it...
  19. 2 things you want to consider. Tripod and manual focus.
  20. Looks like the weather is holding up here. has 2 spells of almost snowing that lasted 10sec each
  21. These guys work on glassfibre and carbon. There are other companies that will do it for you, I don't think they will have the mould so that will be more expensive. Alternative is the DIY process. Carbon fibre isn't that hard to work with. I've considered making the whole fairings for my Pan in CF but then I decided that is too expensive because of the fittings on the inside. But still possible to be done if you don't look at the cost East Coast Fibreglass Supplies
  22. Bu in London you will definitely have to anchor it down and have a chain around the wheels
  23. Living in Scotland and with a 300kg bike, disk locks are good enough
