  1. True, but be sensible should
  2. Read H&S rules as sensible selfcare...
  3. Sorry @onesea but using a grinder to smooth the concrete floor would maybe be allowed in East Asia but you would be breaking around 20 H&S rules. There are tools you can hire for that purpose. https://www.nationaltoolhireshops.co.uk/product/pg280-floor-grinder-hire/ Although a grinder can be used with heady duty PPE and dedicated disk the above is safer https://www.hss.com/hire/p/aggressor-grinder-230mm-and-blade

Won't be that much more expensive and you would be getting married in a castle and wear a kilt.. even have a go at the bagpipes
  5. You should buy the engine sprocket that fits the engine, the rear sprocket that fits the wheel and the chain that fits both.
  6. Good morning. 1cm of snow, light chill wind, cloudy. no rain for now
  7. the steps bit you can just make a small ramp(s) that you can place and remove when needed.
  8. Ah swans, what lovely creatures... I punch one once back in Portugal, was trying to attack my wee girl. Was a nice swing though, put a few smiles on people around NOBODY attacks my girl and gets away with it
  9. See? a picture talks 1000 words
  10. Ah rite I got a chinese crap dual camera. image is really rubbish not even close to HD as they say, the good thing is that is connected to the bike's battery so doesn't run out. But sound is horrible and image looks like a 50's movie. But that is what you get for cheap stuff.
  11. WTF is a drift ghost with a kiss?
  12. Would that be gulls? They are the crap factories
  13. True, they are the best intrusion alarm But fecking noisy I'm on the flight path of some geese herds I can tell as soon they are arriving or leaving Scotland.
  14. Good morning. no rain no wind but very cold. Geese are back, noisy little pests
  15. As @onesea says you can get a good second hand 125, ieally japanese one as they are far more reliable. Nothing better than going to a dealer and sit on a couple and see what you feel more comfortable on. Then if you already know your budget just make searches for your shortlist of 3 models. Don't be fooled by a "good deal" on a model you don't really like.
  16. NO, a myth that they don't go far enough. About price, yes they are more expensive to buy but you have to keep in mind that a ICE car costs around 20-25p/mile while a EV costs 5-10p/mile (25p/kwh) So to be more accurate you need to consider the cost over 3 years for both.
  17. Nobody is It would be a paradox being funny and play banjo
  18. Used to it. Pretty much me and the mrs... I play dead.
  19. Have you ever tried nettle soup? It is delicious. My question is, why on Earth anyone want to live in Leeds...
  20. RESULT!!! Fife council's "Lead Consultant (Parking Strategy & Operations)" agreed in supporting the initiative Part of the reply "I'm happy to support this, but there would be some requirements to ensure it's done safely for both participants and the public. We would need to receive an application for use of the car park which is something we often use for events. This would include information such as the number of participants, dates, duration, plans on managing other traffic safely, risk assessments and public liability insurance. It would also be the applicant's responsibility to place cones/signs/etc. during use." This to be progressed once restrictions are lifted and we can go around again..
  21. My idea is to practice myself and help other rides in the area that may be interested
  22. Now, are you implying Billy isn't funny? Thread carefully...
  23. Unless you're Billy Connelly
  24. This is now a myth. My Nissan EV does 180-200 miles on 1 charge. Ok it takes 1hr to a full charge from 20% but this new type of battery would greatly increase the advantage of driving EV's If these batteries start to be fitted on bikes, then you can go 70-100 miles on 1 charge and have a 10min break while charging and continue the trip.
  25. Just emailed Fife council and my local councillor for this. Maybe I can get free cones and a dedicated space for it. Then will let the council do the advertising
