Most new helmets will have a removable bit to accommodate earphones and will have a way to install an intercom set. It will mean that you have to remove the padding (also removable) pass the cables and put everything back. But these are not the £50 helmets

Don't leave for later the flounce you can have right now

Just in case some somebody goes on "No pics, doesn't exist..." First cut the brass rod 4cm longer than required. with the mini "dremel" made a flat spot on each side so the spanner could grip it. then made the M5 thread 12mm long Drilled Ø2.5mm hole from the thread side all the way the whole length of the drill bit finally cut the connector to size, added the washer and rubber o-ring ready to sync carbs Because the idiot in B&Q didn't scan the brass rod when I got it it end up s a free tool

Somebody will say "I want them both" for his threesome collection -
I need to nominate someone... SMS - some smartarse meter installers. Had the installation early Dec '20 Then the guy said that the servers were out so someone would have to come back and have them commissioned so the energy provider could take the readings. 2nd appointment for today 25/1/21 between 8 and 12am cancelled due to Covid. Did these idiots thought, "better give the guy a call." Nah, why bother. Called 12:30 to be told that the appointment was cancelled. When asked that if I was correct in assuming that if lockdown would last another 2 months then I would have to wait another 2 months for an appointment. Answer: Yes. So I'll have to pay 6 months more expensive energy because they can't be bothered.. More to follow... Sounds like a trend in this country that companies are taking the piss from customers using lockdown as excuse. Culprits so far: Royal Mail by losing packages Onestream by , well being Lidl of broadband. Morrisons by advertising products at £3 then charging £8 at the counter SMS for being a bunch of tw@ts... Probably I'll be missing some others but it's monday.

When I passed there I set the tent in a small camping site not far from Milau then went on the road passing under the bridge. The view was better than over it Edit: It was Saint Martin camping site https://www.campingsaintmartin.fr/

Cabo da Roca is the most westerly in Europe btw You can still walk to the Playa de Tarifa just before the gates. I don't know if there is pedestrian access to the final bit but you can always try

I was under the impression Isla de las Palomas/Ilsa Tarifa ( don't ask me why the 2 names, where punta de Tarifa is located) was closed to public as it is/was a military compound.

I'm a HUGE fan of coastal routes. Spain by far have the best ones, smooth roads and it will follow the coastline for miles. You can go from San Sebastian to A Guarda (next to Portugues border) and you won't be more than a few 100m away from the coast at any time. Ok it is Atlantic on a colder water patch circa 12 to 16c (while further south you can reach 22c) but well worth the scenery. Spanish food in those areas are very good and even better if you like fish and seafood. Then you can go further south into the Portuguese coast all the way round and return to Spain all the way up to Barcelona. Anybody visiting Barcelona I can't express how good it is the route to Monserrate Monastery. Another excellent (and I really mean EXCELLENT!!!!) is the road between Angeles-sur-mer in south France and Playa Grifeu in Spain passing via Tour Madeloc (D914 & N-260) I was fortunate to pass there when the tarmac was weeks new. Despite the intercom constant moaning "Why are you going like that???" and rubbing the pegs a few times on the tarmac while not going any faster than 30mph. It is a dream road

I would like to make the Pyrenees route to try the roasted cake

Now you're talking Smoker Vinhais fair (northeast Portugal) Sausage festival Monchique (inner Algarve, Portugal) But then you would want to go to the cheese fair in Castelo Branco, halfway between Algarve and northern Portugal near with Spanish border) And the Alentejo cheese festival (southern region just north of Algarve) To finish it all you would go all around the country trying the wine.. So better planning staying there for a good few months

Took the carbs off the Shadow (again). can't sync the damn things. Need to find why 1 of the stupid pistons doesn't want to slide properly

Going back to original @bonio's post.. What you describe is a "normal" touring trip on a big bike you can go to (south/west) Portugal. Italy, Croatia, even Romania or Bulgaria (or both) East As far as Ukraine North(ish)/East Norway Sweden Finland All of these would take you 2 weeks if planned properly

Don't waste your time on the Milau viaduct. Been there last year and still don't see why the wife made such a fuss about it. Is a tall bridge between 2 hills over a tiny burn. and it will cost you to cross it. Want a pretty bridge? This one is in the 28 most beautiful in the world

What an horrible thing reminds me of an ugly train.

Simply getting on the bike, ride to Moscow then China, Vietnam ending in Kuala Lumpur. Spend a couple weeks there resting and on the beach Get on the bike and come back via India, Iran, Turkey with frequent stops visiting all the interesting points that every country have (like the Taj-Mahal in India, the red square in Moscow, imperial palace in Thailand, etc.) It should take around 3 to 4 months and cost between £10,000 and £15,000 And it is on my bucket list (item 4)

Automotive Battery Full Charge in 5 minutes...
husoi replied to Gerontious's topic in Motorbike news
Well. I can say that I'm on my second electric car and have no intentions in going back to fossils. When it is said that EV's have less emissions compared with ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) it is because EV's don't even have a tail pipe so there are no emissions at all. True producing electricity from fossils will have CO2 implications but if most energy is created by solar, wind or even nuclear then the CO2 emissions are far less than producing fossils. Don't forget that you spend a lot of energy (mostly electricity) refining crude into petrol or diesel, you have tankers transporting crude all around the world. Then there is the infrastructure. A power line lasts far longer than a pipeline and requires less maintenance. 1km of 500kV cable takes less CO2 emissions to fabricate than 1km of crude oil A power station produces electricity for both EV's and ICE. take aside the EV's for a moment. As you explained @bonio there are emissions while producing electricity for an EV and that is not disputed. emissions for electricity will be added to all the emissions to produce petrol (lets stay with petrol as I'm not aware of diesel bikes) then you have tanker lorries transporting petrol to the stations. then you have the electric pumps to put the liquid in the tanks. normal operation of fuel stations will be similar to EV chargers so one will balance the other. So as you can see, in fact EV's produce less emissions than ICE's and taking all into account it is likely that the figure of 60% is not far off. Will be even higher once wind and solar power production becomes 50% or more than fossil. But at the end, I think is a good thing that people openly dispute the statements and false advertising (which I'm deadly against). PS: I loathe the claim from a Japanese brand that hybrid cars are self-charging, that is a load of bollocks and it should have been banned. Hybrid cars are anything but efficient, I drove one and I know what I'm talking about. -
Was thinking about a plywood board reinforced with GRP and ball transfer instead of castors but would be too big and heavy. This one in steel profiles is perfect.

I wonder if I can make one of these
