  1. As everybody else all plans will be Covid pending. Ideal trip would be touring to Croatia for 2 weeks in the summer If not possible then I'll be roaming down to England and spend some time by the coast. Non related to trips or holidays, I'm toying with the idea of replacing the fairings on the Pan with red carbon fibre ones. But still the 2nd Jan so probably it will change a lot
  2. You needed 7 people to get that wee bike upright? Last time I had to lift my Pan European, this because of a nob cutting in front of me on a car park, by the time someone got close to me I had it already up. Probably the adrenalin kicking in and I just hold it by the frame above the engine and used the legs as levers to get it up. Is pretty much like putting it on the central stand, more technique and less strength
  3. Throw it in the bin. Repairing it would mean testing all the in-board elements till you find the faulty part. If it was flashing like the photo on and off and then went all out it would have been the power regulator that packed in. The larger square integrated circuit will be the processor while the other 2 large ones will be the cmos and memory manager. The repair would be a new motherboard which is the price of the whole thing. For £100 you get an excellent goggle tv box that will do the same showing the photos on the tv set.
  4. A must go if in Scotland. This small restaurant / take-away is one of the most famous place within the biker's community. In the route between Moffat and Selkirk, the road is one of the ideal routes in the central belt.
  5. A Must go fish & chips restaurant. Probably it will be very busy so you will expect some waiting time. One of the best F&C in the area. Ideally located halfway between south Fife and St. Andrews on the coastal trail. Nearby car park although bikers will tend to park by the dock in front of the shops. As attractions you have the boat trips to the isle of May where you can see the puffins, the fisheries museum or just have a walk to the Anstruther lighthouse.
  6. A nice place if you like trains. Or just want a wee break. There is a 20 min train trip along the river Dee and back. You can have coffee or tea and browse in the train if in between trips. Across the A93 you will have the salt sanctuary. https://www.salt-sanctuary.co.uk
  7. A wee take-away shop with outside picnic tables. Ideal pitstop when you travel down the A93 from Aberdeen to Perth. Toilets available at the car park at Balnellan road 5min walk.
  8. Been there years ago on my Africa twin. Even worse because the embarrassment was on supermarket's car park. Put the shopping in the top box, gloves and helmet on just to ride 1/2 foot and being surprised by the sudden stop and the bike falling on its side. Since then all my disk locks have the yellow coil to the grip.
  9. That will be the same problem as if the battery dies. Tupperware off and fix it.
  10. Bet inside the trailer is the 'TBSL' (too be sorted later) area Plus unless your 7ft 8" i bet you're standing on the pile from that viewpoint Seriously? Trailer have the cooling box, the toolbox with the battery for the lights and the right-hand side pannier for the St1300 so I can walk between the bikes. And no! There is no pile of crap All cleaned and tied up before end of the year Just had to stretch my arms so it gets more in the picture.
  11. Fine, Mr suspicious git First photo having the worktop behind me, second to the right near the door
  12. One hundred fecking quid???? are you insane? I can make a whole weekend on that money Mine was made of bit and bobs I had in the garage but, even if I had to buy it would be around £20 or less.
  13. That's the spirit
  14. ever thought about a motor home ? Don't believe I ever seen a 2 wheel motorhome Unless you mean a gold Wing
  15. The phone socket will still draw a small current even with the LED removed if it is not switched. The conversion circuit is active all the time it is connected to 12 volts. Yes it would be. That I forget to unplug the USB adapter from the socket
  16. Hot glue is the new sticky tape.
  17. The idea just come to mind as many others I have Forgot to mention. This one is not switched. The only one would eventually need a switch would be the dual socket for the phone but I removed the LED so is a passive connection. The dual camera is removable so only comes active when plugged. Installing a switch would just mean either something to hide under the seat, meaning you would have to remove it every time you want to turn it on or run a cable to the front and connect a relay. doable but I don't think is necessary. At least not for what I need. If your friend wants I can make a simple diagram how it would be done.
  18. Let's see.. Satnav Phone, this is a normal lighter socket that allows the air pump for the air bed Dual camera Trickle charger Would still need the kettle and toaster..
  19. Before you go messing with the hoose wiring keep in mind that kitchen have its own power ring. The oven would be plugged into it. For the sound of it your kitchen ring doesn't have a connection for the oven so as long you know how to do it, you would be able to take some power from it for the oven as long you can trace the power cable.
  20. Indirectly related to the bikes. Finally I managed to clear and clean the worktop. Look how much space I have
  21. In touring we tend to have as many gadgets as possible. The problem is how to connect all of them so you don't run out of battery 100 miles away from home. I'm sure there are many other ways to do this, but this one is how I decided it works for me. Instead of 1/2 dozen wires to the battery I now have 1 additional wire. This box will allow more than 1 cable per connector so I can easily burn the battery with 8 gadgets Earth connection is with an old golden plated junction I had in my toolbox for years. As we say back home. You keep it, you find it. Works better in Portuguese I divert... The hot glue gives extra protection to moist and accidental contact with negative pole. Because all accessories are fused, I opted for a direct connection reducing the resistance to the connector.
  22. You have to keep in mind that the broadband speed they tell you is available to your router is the speed when the computer is plugged into it not WiFi speed.
  23. I simply use an old bed sheet to cover it. A dust sheet will trap moisture and will increase the risk of rusting
  24. To make it more desirable you should have crossed the old price and add the new one
  25. I would love to ride the Pan European from UK to Malaysia and back
