  2. If cold, rain and strong winds makes a good day then, Good morning.
  3. Welcome. PS: I still prefer the old system where new members would introduce themselves.
  4. Well... one more reason for not going then Still need to find a reason why people go there to get themselves killed or badly injured. Would gladly go there when the race is not on..
  5. Apparently your intercom only allows 1 device at the time. I'm not familiar with your intercom, does it allow multiple riders? maybe you will need to toggle between connections when you want to change from the phone to the satnav
  6. While looking for info for my shadow 700 I've come across a few quite interesting videos about carburetors. This first one is an animation how carbs work. Not the best quality but the information is excellent. The second video is part 1 of 2 about how to sync multiple carbs (not suitable to 125's or single carb bikes) A final note. When cleaning your carbs MAKE SURE you identify where all hoses are connecting before you go around unplugging them. Carburetor function animation Carb sync
  7. Just in case anyone is interested in this. An excellent animation on how carburetor works
  8. Finishing my new home office desk then try to refit the carbs on the shadow. Not a job for the fainted heart I must say...

  15. Good morning everybody
  16. How much does your bike lean on the stand if you load it with luggage?
  17. That means you can give your bike some contagious crap? Maybe a computer virus... That's more than enough reason to cancel your policy and go elsewhere. Legally they can't change the contract without giving you a opt out clause
  18. Good morning guys
  19. I had a guy giving me an estimate for my drive and front garden. He wasn't happy when I asked for a breakdown of the price. and told him that he would get paid once the work was complete because I was expecting to take less than a month and as long the work was done properly and no snags were found I would happily paid him in full. He got a fright when I told him that I'm a construction estimator and know all of their tricks

  22. look at the rpm. I bet you that at 8500 the triumph won't have 77
  23. Soooooo tempted in starting a stream of texts to your number... you're taking a big risk in putting it in the open like that
  24. over 6 quid for a pad????? I've made one of 5mm plywood for the ST1300 that fits on the bottom of the topbox, cost me less than £2 including some spray paint and 10 min work. Take it everywhere and just put it down if I stop somewhere with soft ground. works a treat.

    Hiccups 😁

I read some time ago that hiccups are a nervous system thingy. Deep breaths and holding the breath leads to a slowing down of the metabolism (body's rpm ) and making you calm down and be more relaxed. Also by controlling your breath you are diverting the brain's attention to something else than whatever caused the hiccups so the brain kinda "forget" what was doing and stops it. Controlling your breath is one of the techniques used in meditation, so if you do regular meditation you won't be as susceptible to hiccups
