  3. Elections are 6th May so I think she is just trying to raise her profile and get herself in the news. Being Labour she can't pick on travellers or immigrants so she's going after another minority.
  4. Why single out "anti social" motorcyclists? It says .. "I don’t mean our law-abiding bikers here," said Ms McGuinness, who has urged the Policing Minister to give the idea the green light. "I’m talking about trouble-makers, often young people riding un-roadworthy bikes, which in some cases have been stolen." Has she called for trackers on anti social car drivers too? They probably cause more trouble! https://www.itv.com/news/wales/2020-08-03/hundreds-gather-at-dangerous-and-anti-social-car-meet-in-brynmawr
  5. I just use an alarmed disc lock and a chain when out and about.. Nothing fancy but then I only have cheap bikes. Don't bother with a grip lock as they've got to be the most useless bit of kit ever invented! ..

  8. Its because thy don't want people riding around on L plates forever! .. When CBT can cost more than taking the test you may as well give it a try.
  9. Report it to the Police! .. (not that they will do anything) .. Your insurance will only be affected if you make a claim.
  10. Leatherman are good but I prefer a Gerber multitool.
  11. How could we? “After God had finished the rattlesnake, the toad, the vampire, He had some awful substance left with which He made a scab. A scab is a two-legged animal with a cork-screw soul, a water-logged brain, a combination backbone of jelly and glue. Where others have hearts, he carries a tumor of rotten principles. When a scab comes down the street, men turn their backs and angels weep in heaven, and the Devil shuts the gates of Hell to keep him out. No man has a right to scab so long as there is a pool of water to drown his carcass in, or a rope long enough to hang his body with. Judas Iscariot was a gentleman compared with a scab. For betraying his master, he had character enough to hang himself. A scab has not. Esau sold his birthright for a mess of pottage. Judas Iscariot sold his Savior for thirty pieces of silver. Benedict Arnold sold his country for a promise of a commission in the British Army. The modern strikebreaker sells his birthright, his country, his wife, his children and his fellow men for an unfulfilled promise from his employer, trust or corporation. Esau was a traitor to himself: Judas Iscariot was a traitor to his God; Benedict Arnold was a traitor to his country; a strikebreaker is a traitor to his God, his country, his wife, his family and his class.”
  12. "It was Margaret Thatcher's biggest political misjudgement - and brought her career as prime minister to an ignominious end!". https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-38382416
  13. Maybe not, but it was the riots that led to Thatcher's downfall and the scrapping of the poll tax!
  14. I wonder if we would still be stuck with Thatcher's hated Poll Tax if the demonstrations had been "peaceful"?
  15. June last year! https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2020/06/13/black-lives-matter-protests-london-statues-racism-churchill/
  16. No!.. She's a short giant!
  17. You should be OK washing it on the street with soapy water etc .. Just be careful cleaning the chain with paraffin/whatever, it will be illegal to let it go into the drains.
  18. It was a disgrace! .. But the police already have the powers to deal with this violence! The new bill is about putting an end to peaceful protests!
  19. The bill is about banning NON violent protests! The police already have the powers to deal with violent protest. Protests that cause "annoyance" or are too "noisy" will be illegal and get may you arrested! Even a single protester making a noise could be arrested if its deemed to be "annoying"! This is a bad law!
  20. By "Full Licence" do you mean Full class A unrestricted? .... Or full A1 or A2? As Stu says you just need to find a school that has a suitable bike for the shorter rider.
  21. The picture of the hinge cem1 ada898 is a Leyland bonnet hinge. https://www.morrisminorspares.com/body-inc-panels-trim-c21/bonnet-fittings-c22/bonnet-hinge-l-h-genuine-leyland-boxed-ada898-new-old-stock-august-1951-onwards-p827990 So my guess is that they're ll Austin/Morris spares.
