I've been to plenty of RTC's over the years! .. It's not very pleasant!

I've been hit on the helmet by debris thrown up by cars and trucks that would probably caused me to crash had I not been wearing a lid! .. Had I crashed who knows what/who I may have hit! .. I would say you do endanger others by not wearing a helmet.

After having so many cancellations and disappointments in 2020 I'm not making any plans at all for this year. I'll just take the opportunities as and when they arise.

As my son had his mirrors broken and he nicked mine off my CG I fitted some new ones .. As its a bit cold on the hands I fitted a pair of these for the winter as well.

While in NZ I spent 2 years in Waikeria prison with murderers, rapists, paedophiles, drug dealers, etc. .. I was a screw. They all deserved to be there and very few of them could be reformed. "Some" of the others in there for more minor offences could be reformed if they were taught a skill to help them get work when they were released. There were plenty in there that couldn't even read! I also worked a couple of years as a Community Work Supervisor and that doesn't work either unless you give them worthwhile work or teach them a skill! .. Just making them pick up litter is pointless.

I had a car stolen while I was living in NZ. .. The police caught the pair and I was asked if I would like to meet with them as part of their "Resrorative Justice" system. I asked if I could bring my baseball bat and beat the crap out of them? The meeting didn't go ahead!

No sympathy for the bike thieves! .. The one that died wasn't wearing a helmet! This is the sort of thing that happens when the Police and the courts don't take motorcycle theft seriously! Steal £10,000 from a bank and you'll get 10 yrs! .. Steal some ones £10,000 motorbike and get a slap on the wrist!

You will manage fine on the CG .. You just have to give it lots of welly! I don't suppose my 95kg bulk and 10kg of clothes keeping me warm will have helped either!

Its only a short distance from coming off the bend to the speed trap. Tried it it second and third! .. First emergency stop in second = 47kph Allowed a re-run and got 49kph Hazard avoidance took the bend a little faster in third and again 49kph That gave me 2 minors for failing to reach 50kph. There was no problem doing it on a practice day on an MT07 Chatting to the examiner afterwards he told me that quite a few fail on Chinese 125's due to being unable to make the speed. I had my DAS mod 1 cancelled due to covid and when I could book one my trainers didn't have a bike available. Instead of cancelling it and as its only 15 quid I did it on my 125 just for a bit of practice. Passed it with 2 minors which I blame on the bike! .. It struggled to make 50kph by the speed trap for the emergency stop and hazard avoidance. Shouldn't have that problem on the bigger bike!
