I can ride 300 miles, fill up twice and never take my helmet off near another human or talk to a soul .... Thats one of the joys of the Motorbike.

Today ... without warning the LCD screen on my Himma started working again .. not 100% but ....The dealer has given me a new set of clocks, not fitted them yet ... and I drove it into the milage shown today .... Nice to have some stats again ... Get a Himalayan .. rediscover real motorbikes .....

We have had a "don’t come to work if you feeling ill" policy for the 20 years i’ve run the company. We trust our staff to be honest and have rarely been taken advantage of. Throughout the worst of Covid we only had 1 member of staff out of 32 have symptoms / catch covid ....... me. Or more likely we all had it but showed no symptoms. I’m not as blasé as i might sound about covid ... but times have moved on and if your not testing for diabetes, heart disease, ... god forbid ... Flu, then whats the point of testing for a cold ...

Don’t test .... if you feel ill stay at home until you feel better ... the way we have been doing for hundreds of years ..... So looking forward to the end of free tests ...... Maybe Covid lifestyle fans could form a club .... sort of like “Dallas Buyer's Club” .... but for a different type of drug.

My riding kit is all gortex based, generic “Norman” Chinese jacket, Oxford jacket also made in China and a pair of armoured trousers....made in China ... all were relatively cheap, the Oxford was a £100, which was the total of the other 2 garments .... but all have served me well in rain and shine .... These jackets for £300 and more that we see plastered over the ads in bike magazines baffle me .... what do they do ... make toast .. ??

Maybe .. Motorcycling is not for you .... Panic and Motorbikes are different planets ............ And I’m the one actually saying what many will deny they think ... But don't give up .... Remember .. Once upon a time on a planet far away .... I interviewed for and got a job as the production manager of a steel works in Doncaster ... 2 weeks later i turned up on the Monday, my first day, to find the owners had sacked the ENTIRE workforce on the Friday .... the MD give a me an hourly paid and staff list and suggested i phone around and employ anyone that would come back on the new terms and conditions ....and at the end of the week fill the gaps with new folk ..... All the staff came back ... everyone ... Of the hourly paid staff, 90% of the workforce, .. many came back ..... except the welders .... 50% of the 90% where welders ... We bent steel and welded lugs onto it ... forks for fork lift trucks ..... No welders, no forks.. The welders walked across the road to Montracon and Wabtec and started the same day on more money .. It cost my company a fortune to get them back ... in the end not a penny was saved ... 2 years later i was sacked without warning ... the Directors had put a piecework system in place for the hourly paid and with my good management the productivity and profitability shot up ... The MD was not happy (!!!) and told me to reign in the workforce .. i refused .. Went into work Wednesday morning, called to the Finance Directors office ... given a cheque for 12 months salary and told to fec off .... The story is ... mass sackings save nothing in the long run ...... And i had 6 months off having fun and frolics with the family before going back to work ... yes .. they paid me 6 months gardening leave PLUS the 12 months salary ... Result !!!!!

We’re in our 60’s We have 4 children living with us. This weekend !! The eldest is on an engineering trip to Hinkley. The girls, 12 and 10, have a 2 day visit to their mother. The youngest, 4, is on a family visit to his aunt. HUZZAH !!!!!!! not a clue what we’re going to do ... I suspect we’ll work something out

Be careful what you wish or virtue signal for ... When we opened our gates for war refugees the last time, Kosovo, we imported the Albanian gangsters and their families as well. How many of the hordes of young men from Afghan are Taliban ? We need checks... We are a small country, there are other much larger countries that could pick up the refugee issue from Ukraine ... Germany, Poland ( done a great job already) France etc .... Surely Ukraine refugees need to be close to Ukraine to return to rebuild their country ? If Ukraine refugees come to the UK i doubt they will go home...... What a loss to their country ....

I have heard a rumour that there are millions of tons of coal below the fields around Drax and Ferrybridge power stations ....... can’t be true or they wouldn’t be burning wood pellets that cause greater output of harmful emissions than coal ... I mean .. that would just be stupid !

Let the fracking commence, and only pay Cuadrilla the rate for the gas at 39p / therm .... or even better .... take Fracking into government ownership for the benefit of the UK population.

We’ve been lied too by the MSM in the UK for the past 2 years and now suddenly we believe every word they say. .... really... Ukraine is a tragedy beyond words and the evil that is Putin must be faced ... But .. Not a single member of the UK armed forces must be harmed. No politicians sending young men and women into battle to have their limbs blown off .. If Boris and Ben and their mates want to use military force against Putin let them grab a gun and set off for Kiev ... Iraq and Afghanistan where enough ..........

Cod, chips and a battered sausage .. peas, beans or curry sauce in a pot ... £6 Chicken tikka kebab with chips and salad £3.80 The half dozen chippies within 2 miles of our house are run by eastern europeans or Cypriots, the latter being in the majority. Great food.
