Whats the point .. ? 75 miles range .... I live 12 miles from work but on a nice morning its 84 miles via Woodhead Pass and Snake Pass .... 175 miles range would be more sensible .... visit the website and see the prices ..... Base model £24,150 .... £750 for the charger .... which is an extra !!!!

The gas price is completely artificial ..... we need to uncouple the gas we have coming from our own sources, north sea etc, and price energy on a local basis .... Fracking for gas has saved massive amounts for other countries users because they do not tie it to an artificial world rate. This winter the 15% of gas used in the EU, provided by the UK, will be sold back to us at over x2 the price we sold it to them ... because they store our gas ..and we can’t !!!

In the last 8 months the cost of filling up my tank has gone from £11.40 to £17.80 and back down to £13.40 ..... Super Unleaded of course ... and at 80 miles to the gallon thats a lot of cost ..

What I did with my bike ...... Last week my friend Chris and I decided to cycle from Southport to Wath -Upon -Derne, along the Trans Pennine Trail. Wath is not far from where we both live, and it’s the first half of the TPT (112 miles). We did 77 miles the first day and the balance the following morning. Along the way we passed the Woodhead Tunnels, western entrance. Although i have driven on the road above them i had never visited the tunnels until our cycle took us past the entrance. So .... Today i jumped on the Himma and rode back to the entrance, technically it’s on the TPT so no motor vehicles but there is a Northern Power gate next to the TPT gate ... so i opened that one and drove the 20 meters down to the tunnel entrance from the carpark .... And here’s the pics ...... They have just spent millions and millions on repairing and upgrading the tunnel too ..... put a power cable along it ! The gates you can see below are copied 12 ft back ... and a further 12 feet back ... there is CCTV everywhere .... One does wonder what else is in the tunnel ... These old tunnels are the original rail tunnels .... what a shame these are tunnels are not carrying trains directly between Sheffield and Manchester as they used to.

Watching the sidecars land at Ago’s Leap tells any competent Engineer that something is going very wrong ... these are essentially 80’s Formula 2 / 3 cars with a wheel missing. On smooth UK circuits they perform with elegance at high speed .. on the bumps of the TT and some Irish / Ulster road circuits a different type of outfit would seem to be required ... Wasp MX outfit with slicks and fairings ? Who knows, there’s so many dynamics issues to be addressed .... and they should be addressed. But the first port must be suspension ... there is virtually no suspension on these race vehicles ... 35 - 40 mm is not working suspension for anything expected to cope with roads ...

Motorcycling, the deaths will only stop when the Motorcycling stops. Are you on the right web site ???

The terrible loss this year has to have some context, 11 people have died in the UK “wild swimming” so far this year. 277 deaths in 2021. There does seem to be something happening with sidecars this year, no injuries just fatalities, all along the same mile of track. Something is happening. As we get closer to the 140 mile lap i suspect the solo deaths will continue to rise as well. I do wish John McG, and Michael Rutter would consider their position.

According to the Friends of the Earth website the batteries are already turning up in land fill in Namibia ... we’ve decided that our 116000 mile transit probably has another 200k + miles left on it so we’ll take that route. Already theres discourse around the rubber and brake particles EV’s produce in cities due to being at least twice as heavy as normal cars ... but that was an article in the Telegraph so don’t quote me on that one.

We’ve looked at an EV for our primary vehicle but to be honest SWMBO is more concerned about the long term damage to the planet by the production and disposal of EV’S ... She’s convinced me ....
