  1. I have a petrol stihl hedge trimmer. Was my father-in-laws back when he had a landscaping business so is a bit of a monster I bought a makita cordless hedge trimmer last year and I find myself reaching for that everytime I do the hedges now. It's lighter and powerful enough for what I need. I was actually very surprised how good it is, I never really rated battery garden stuff before
  2. 'Steel foundry, crematorium. It's the same thing innit? ' is probably what was going through Agency blokes head We gave up using indeed to get people after we put on an advert once. Asked for a minimum of 3-5 years experience working as a fryer for all applicants. They sent us one guy who had worked in Mcdonalds as a summer job back when he was 16 almost 20 years ago!! no other food related experience on his CV. He had worked as a data input clerk for practically all his work life

  5. I know I sound like an old man shouting at the clouds but at least years ago indicators were actually visible to road users. Can barely see so many of them now

  7. I think there's loads of life left on those. I am from Yorkshire though
  8. Had the same happen to me years ago. Reported bike stolen and then less than 4 hours later rang to cancel the claim as I had recovered bike. All fine until I got my renewal quote for a few hundred more than last years because I had reported the bike stolen. Didn't matter that they hadn't had to make a payout etc, premiums went up automatically as soon as I said it had been stolen. Never went back to them on principal even years later when they were the cheapest quote
  9. This might be what you need https://www.trikeshop.co.uk/post-589/ Edit: didn't read goats post!
  10. @Bender sad but true. 'The candle that burns twice as bright lasts half as long ' sums them up nicely I think
  11. When I got my car tyres fitted last week I checked pressure when I got home. 39, 34 31, 37 They should all be 33 . Just laziness on garages part, I don't think I've ever had tyres inflated to correct pressure anywhere over the years, they just whack it on compressor until it looks full enough
  12. Welcome to the forum
  13. All I can suggest when doing life savers is to do them a little bit more slowly and deliberately so as to give no option to say it wasn't done. I was given that advice by my instructor for my car license. He said not to look in the mirror just moving your eyes but to move your entire head so the examiner can see you do it. Good luck in future
