@Steve_M I am horrified to think how much would be on my list if I let the Wife add to it

I've been getting myself stressed thinking about all the various jobs I have to do around house, keep forgetting things that need doing and remembering next time It comes up. Case in point: I went to use the hosepipe outside to clean my muddy shoes and couldn't find the spray attachment. "Oh yes I remember now, It broke and I need to buy a new one" So I've downloaded a todo list app onto my phone and spent last night writing down everything I can think of. I'm up to 47 so far and I bet there's more!

Reminds me of the old only fools and horses bit. Del: Never give up on people, Rodney. I know that most of the time they don't seem to understand. But when you're in trouble and you cry out for help, some will always be there. Trigger's cousin Cyril's a perfect example. He owed 500 quid on his mortgage. Trigger: They were gonna be thrown out on the street the following day. he was very worried about it. Mike: So what happened Trig? Trigger: He drove out to Beachy Head. Parked about five foot from the edge of the cliff. Albert: What, he was gonna drive off it? Trigger: Yeah! He just sat there for a couple of hours, his head resting on the steering wheel. People tried to talk to him out of it but he was too depressed to listen. Del: But then, and this is what I mean about people, Rodney, they had a whip-round and got him his 500 quid. Rodney: No! Who held the whip-round? Del: All the passengers on his bus.

@Mississippi Bullfrog. That reminds me of a story someone told me years ago. She used to work in an office and the company kept the temperature at 16° all year round. In the winter they used to put cans of coke from the fridge on top of the thermostat so it would always think it was cold and keep the heat pumping out

I've been keeping myself entertained on the Quora.com website. People ask questions on there and others will answer. Currently browsing the World War 2 section and found the question: Why didn't Germany invade England through the Channel Tunnel?

That's right. Always worth checking the battery has over 12v first and giving the earth points a good clean up first too

I'm a bit annoyed with my fellow mods for approving him. I was going to send him a message saying send me the lego then you can post

Talking to a customer at work. His parents thought they were being scammed. Kept getting messages etc telling them to log into their bank account. They were ignoring it for ages. The son had a look at one of the messages when he went round to visit. It was a message on their actual online banking app. Turns out they've won 10 grand on their premium bonds!!

Last time I had an encounter with the police was during height of COVID and the lockdown. I was driving to work at around 4:30am when a police car passed me. Saw him in my rear view do a 3 point turn and begin to follow me. As I was parking up outside work he pulled up next to me and wound his window down. I did the same and he asked me what I was doing driving around at this time. I said I was on my way to spend five hours in a cellar cutting fillets and pointed to the fish shop. He laughed, said "better you than me" and drove off!! Now I could of been all outraged at him stopping me for no reason as I had done nothing wrong etc but the thing is I would of done the exact same thing in his shoes. I probably did look dodgy driving around in early hours, during full lockdown.

Cant see any brake pedals on Ebay for your bike. I do think it shouldn't be too much of an issue to bend it back into shape though. Here's a foot rest I found https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/364079810291?hash=item54c4d906f3:g:MpEAAOSwkkhjA7ly&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAA4AAcHtcnUJ2UsaEF2tPvWrStD5cyVv2EwecMGs75TGHLMIganFZw3TTVFtlnHy0yy0CP%2FP2N%2ByKNAGciuClnWoleSOEG1aWfEV08oNW3PP%2FEIgR0qmyIOk7%2Ftcd31ngEgbW3RQgFp%2FPFqzmCAhOufz0xd9yYWnQmLJkQJCSzmS%2FJY%2BbGjmmAQqg1aAbtJsNKanoH1eqSoBw2UA3j09Qg09oD7lJhIuNT5VHQEfWMmkPNc8GpVO%2BAv4kld2qnI6O2zrW%2FGzpfRuUAXSBQn1VDn99jO%2FW8IOvRaMwx3XjbIoZk|tkp%3ABFBM4qjAvrph

According to my fitbit I've gone from a resting heart rate of 67 at Christmas to 57 now. I assume that means I'm doing something right. Had a fitbit for years and figured it's time to use it for something other than sneakily checking text messages at work

Maybe inform him that either he has to have the finance transferred over into his name ( if possible) or you want the bike returned. Otherwise you will be involving a solicitor and courts. With any luck it'll scare him into returning the bike. Solicitors will probably be the route you'll have to take though. Definitely go to citizens advice as has been mentioned. Will certainly not be the first time this has come up

I've been trying pretty hard to get into better shape since after Christmas. I've lost 5.5lbs so far which is a nice start. Not sure really how much I need to lose, probably a couple of stone. It's more about things like not having my legs ache when running up the stairs at work than appearance for me. Believe it or not being a fish fryer in a busy shop is actually a fairly strenuous job

Keep the feck away from my dongle @Bender!! I've had to remove a few of those over last few years. Usually when buying a bottle of spirits in a online supermarket order. Apparently if you have a very strong magnet it's possible to unlock them. I usually just use my tin snips

That's a deterrent!!

I've never understood the small numberplate thing whether on Car or Bike. I've always preferred to give plod less reasons to pull me
