  1. @Fish The lock in the video is that bad it would actually take longer to use a grinder!! No picking or special tools required. In fact you could probably unlock it in full view of anybody and they would just assume you were using the keys
  2. Was watching a few videos on youtube by the lockpicking lawyer. He is quite entertaining and informative, posts videos reviewing locks, padlocks etc and how easy some are to bypass. Saw one video with a Viro disc lock. Not a brand I've heard of but they are readily available in the UK, Amazon for instance sells them. Its a 3 minute long video and he breaks the lock in the first 20 seconds without using any specialist tools. I'd avoid them if I were you!!
  3. Welcome back
  4. One of the first jobs I had the manager used to call me a wazzock Don't hear that one anymore
  5. I had one of those and it held up well for a number of years, the cheaper one they did (Aquatex I think) was crap. I did lose one though when I lazily didn't bother to do the straps at the bottom. Blew away during the night, never found it despite looking everywhere
  6. What are you riding? When I was a teen and on a 50cc scoot I did keep to the left a lot because everything on the road wanted to overtake me Anything bigger and I felt more confident to be to the left of the white line
  7. Welcome to the forum
  8. There's time for you all yet
  9. Renault's are the same or at least was on my wife's old MK2 Mégane. Doubt they've changed the practice. Had to take wheel off to get enough clearance to fit my arm in the tiny access panel.
  10. Was just going to say the same thing. My boots have usually had patches on both sides too.
  11. I had issues buying a car and insuring and taxing on the forecourt a few years ago. Was only a cheap motor and was not a very reputable looking place so my alarm bells started ringing. Tried to tax and was told this vehicle does not exist. Decided to do insurance and got told same thing. I was just about to storm back into the office when I realised the number plate ended with WRT and not VRT like I had been entering Everything went through fine when I put the right one in
  12. Keanu is a fan of alpinestar boots. Might be worth looking at them https://www.google.com/search?q=alpinestar tan&tbm=isch&hl=en&tbs=rimg:CTnuKZUROQ9AYRA4j6cW34ADsgIMCgIIABAAOgQIABAB&sa=X&ved=0CB4QuIIBahcKEwiYiO2n_ev1AhUAAAAAHQAAAAAQBw&biw=1440&bih=604

  15. My Wife has just come back from her opticians (Specsavers) £300 for her new ones Its mainly due to needing varifocals and having the lenses thinned as otherwise apparently they'd be like coke bottles Before today she has always used the same local opticians in town. Rang them earlier in the week for an appointment and they were planning to charge £75 just for an eye test It was £45 last time she had it done there back in 2019

  18. @Stu may of disabled editing posts, Its because of a spammers trick, they join, write a normal post, wait until its approved and then edit it to whatever it is they are trying to sell. You can always pm @Stu and ask him to edit it for you. You could ask one of the mod team as well but we are much busier than he is

    Amazon

There is with all cards no matter credit or debit. One of the worst ones for charges was and probably still is American express. That's why a lot of places won't take it.

    Amazon

@JayMutt No. Late last year Amazon announced they would no longer accept Visa Credit cards from the UK after January. Debit cards were ok. Something to do with higher charges. They've now said they will continue to accept them for the time being so I assume a backroom deal has been struck
