  1. I'm guessing it's the ignition bit that's been smashed off on yours then.
  2. Funny you should ask that. My tyre guy said 'that needs running in for 62 miles'. How the crikey did you come up with that number says I ? That's 100 km, as recommended by Pirelli says he.
  3. Hi, take another look on eBay, l just looked and there are a few on there. 1999? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/395259699879?itmmeta=01HRSYVTG87EGK8TX0EFNKCYYA&hash=item5c075062a7:g:auUAAOSw6-Vl7d~w&itmprp=enc%3AAQAIAAAAwARKZHI8MyE0bZIEL3yf6vvj0T0PQ6OQEbvwB1VyX6WJz39nku3iuh2GfbAFWgPY%2BypxF%2BtdtECUAK%2FeYrFUgPzUBAKH%2BBFAWWU8bWDUto3
  4. I'm a happy spectator especially if you learn things about the brand. But if it's just name calling and people shouting opposing views for nothing, well, you may as well listen to Jeremy Vine. Can't think of anything worse.
  5. I did join a GSXR forum which turned out to be American based, didn't stay long there. Oldskoolsuzuki is best for the er old school Suzukis.
  6. Yeah l did see the bit about the values changing, but not until after the 3rd race. So in effect you can have 4 changes before the prices alter. 2 now and 2 after Portugal.
  7. The XSR site is ok, many folk from around the world with what seem genuine people who will help you out. Easy to search old threads to find info etc. The majority of Americans on the other hand are morons. I have no idea what goes on in their heads at all. They are happy to call you out and name call but as soon as you say anything back the dummies come out big time. So much so if it's US based l don't bother it's just not worth the grief.
  8. Well it looks like I have not paid enough attention to the details, the scoring of points. To which in my defence are as clear as mud! Also for some reason I thought you could change as you went along. It looks like only 2 changes at a time, hopefully you get 2 after each race. It's going to take me a couple of races to get my set up in order. But ever the optimist, the only way is up!
  9. So the moral of the story so far is don't notify the police until you are sure you want to claim.
  10. Its not just next year with the insurance. One of the questions is have you had a claim in the last 5 years? You'll be paying for it for the next 5 years, approx 20-30% more each year. Do you protect your no claims? They will not pay if it wasn't parked where you said it was, a 'car park'. You want to check your policy for the exact wording on that. If it was classed as parked 'on the street' for instance on the police report, it wouldn't be in a car park. Don't know how much you pay for your insurance only you will know if it's worth claiming. If you do claim and get past the parking hurdle you should get something. But you will lose the bike. If you don't claim you get to keep the bike and can repair it, and don't have the hassle of the claim. You don't have to claim. £600 is not to be sniffed at of course, but in the longer term of things.. well that's up to you. You don't have to claim straight away, check your policy, you can think about it for a few days, some even allow a couple of weeks. Or not at all and take it on the chin.
  11. How can I be 30 points behind the top 4 after 1 sprint race? Where are you getting your points from?
  12. Just had a quick look, I am being battered! I had 3 riders in the top ten after the sprint so i've no idea how that works. When we used to do this years ago it was just the riders finish position gave you points. Motogp, BSB and WSB back then. I'm going to have to suss out the points scoring here pretty quick or I'll be toast!
  13. Hi, that's a tricky one something doesn't sound right. You could try using something like this to narrow it down. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Wress-Engine-Stethoscope-Professional-Automotive/dp/B0C81F1Z4L/ref=sr_1_5?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.q8mHxGszCpcwYKv3K3teA816ZUTwrnhR0ssw-IsHE1R8GgNryORTi_cSdR8agJetxhTPskHASrjrpyaxJ06B4zxtBVg5MwEDl_-rDi_v8NeS34x8V2BDz-WmgGOZmRx8adt30HJ6e4OGsPj5fbzQ8YbE2Xc2i
  14. Hi, I don't think forbidden is quite right and the only thing you will get from the gov is MOT guidelines. After that it's insurance. Warranties I would be careful of. I suppose it really comes down to why would you want to change your exhaust. Noise, looks or power. Sound I understand, power is minimal gains and most folk will never use the power available to them as is. Looks I also understand there are some pig ugly exhausts out there. Anyway for your browsing pleasure have a look at these. https://shop.sc-project.com/en/brands/moto-guzzi/v100-mandello-2023-2024/mg05a-89t-sc1-r-titanium-exhaust https://www.bikebound.com/2024/03/06/v100/?omhide=true
  15. Oops yes, not for road use, race pipes are loud and obnoxious you don't want those on the road. At the MOT if your tester spotted that he would most likely fail it. But it's still down to your tester who may or may not think it noisy.
  16. Heater. ✓ Chair ✓ you just need a fridge and a stereo.
  17. I would prioritise keeping it MOTd and insured, even if you don't use it. That wouldn't cost that much and give you peace of mind should the worst happen. Imo
  18. What sort of thing are you thinking?
  19. You don't have to have a catalytic converter on your motorcycle. Look at the MOT it just says , it should be secure and complete, it's not too noisy. That's from gov.uk. I changed my whole exhaust on the Yamaha it was just too quiet, now I don't like offensive noise but it changes tone through the rev range, l like that. Cat's are used to bring emissions down to meet the latest Euro 4 or 5 guidelines for manufacture but motorcycles don't have emission checks at the MOT. Insurance companies accept change of exhaust as long as they are Not for road use. They do allow cosmetic change.
  20. Hi, you'll have to check this is accepted in Switzerland, but this is the sort of thing you are looking for. https://a2restrictors.com/products/yamaha-fzs-600-199-9carburettor-a2-restrictor-kit-fzs600-fazer-087?pr_prod_strat=e5_desc&pr_rec_id=d14f20b99&pr_rec_pid=7423714787505&pr_ref_pid=7423714656433&pr_seq=uniform
  21. listen through your best speakers and enjoy the dancers.
  22. Basically you are playing a game of chance. Do you feel lucky punk? Do you live in a built up area and pass a police station on a ten mile trip to work in rush hour passing through multiple cameras? Or is it 5 miles in the country where you don't see anyone from hour to hour ? Even with insurance I'm pretty sure it would be invalidated in the event of an accident. I don't mind a risk but I like the odds stacked in my favour. If l was you I'd have a word with my boss and take a couple of hours off or take a half day holiday. Or have a dentist appointment if you must, as long as you are ok lying.
  23. Hi, yes anything any good in the small cc market has been pretty much bought up. Especially the rose tinted peds of our youth. I guess the more popular the bike the more spares (in theory) there should be. Maybe something like a Honda cub? Yamaha v50?
  24. You're coming over as a bit accident prone..
