  1. Used to love cheap cider, 2 litre bottles from Li'deli nice and cold. Takes me back.
  2. The starter relay does have moving parts and can stick, might be worth swapping out if it happens again. By not starting when you tried bumping it it could be the stand switch. Did you try plugging it in and see if it threw any codes up? Forgot to say, don't use a pressure washer near the switch gear on the bars..
  3. Ha haar 19 years old, is that all it lasted, they don't build them like they used to..
  4. I always go anything over a metre but it's been a while..
  5. I bought a NAD cd player off a guy who totally reconditions them. A chap up north somewhere, great reviews etc 100% feedback, a lovely thing. Hardly ever use it though cos I just rip CDs to a hard drive and go from there.
  6. Hi, welcome, Had a look and l found what you mean but not in this country. They have that in Japan and possibly more but can't find anything for here. Looks like you can see incoming calls and emails on the dash, plus phone battery life. So not a lot really, depending on what you like. Maybe contact Yamaha if you bought it new, or is it something that you have seen after you got the bike?
  7. A bit confusing when it says insufficient travel but really means too much travel. Master Cylinder rebuild kit as has been suggested is the only thing left. Short of bleeding it again and again, l hate bleeding bike brakes, l always struggle..
  8. You didn't fancy taking the swinging arm out and cleaning all the shock linkages while you are in there? Could do a right proper job on that swing arm.
  9. Hi, that one you are looking at will be too small, they do another one the next size up. Look ok but the sides look detachable, built to a budget lets say. Quick look on the bay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/276287711934?hash=item405407eabe%3Ag%3A27MAAOSwv9Rlpjqf&LH_ItemCondition=4 A great fold up trailer for getting to track days https://www.motolug.com/ The Motolug ones you can collapse and store easily, the ebay one would be for all your kit and everything. Depends what storage you have at home to hide these things.
  10. it looks like you are comfier on it than the Honda, fits you better, if you will..
  11. The only way to successfully use a credit card is to pay it off in full every month. You have to keep an eye on the job and be aware. I learnt that the same way you did by the sound of it, so know where you are coming from.
  12. The best thing to do is narrow down your exact model of bike. Then you can find out what your choices are. Wemoto for instance has a small Givi one listed.
  13. Breakdown cover and a credit card
  14. Hi welcome, a lot depends on how you want to ride it for me. If you push on and like a bit of scratching go for all you can afford. For a basic fork refresh, seals and oil, shouldn't be that expensive. I think you may be surprised what a difference that would make. Depending on your weight you could use a slightly heavier oil, or not. Your weight varies greatly day to day. I go for an average weight with kit on. Don't overthink it. I'd start there if I was you.
  15. Crikey, l feel for the poor old shop assistant that has to deal with you. Plus l guess you really didn't need anything, or you would have had to go somewhere else to get it. Personally I'd do anything to keep my shopping experience as brief as possible.
  16. I was going to say it must be easy enough to see if the wiper blades are genuine or not, for instance..
  17. Ha, that Nissan thing has really got to you. Do you think a rant will solve it l don't think so, something needs doing!
  18. Aesthetically the standard mirrors for me. But I'd go for the ones that work the best, no point looking good if all you can see is your elbows.
  19. Had a 400/4 when l was 18 then moved onto a cb900. I liked both those bikes and the 900 was very stylish l thought. It got nicked. Never had a Honda since.
  20. I don't know why but l can't see me ever having a Guzzi. Engine configuration, cx500s who can tell..
  21. Hi, yeah that is almost the complete opposite to the Honda, quite the beast. The weight is huge compared, ok when you are on the move but cumbersome getting it in and out the garage/shed. Sounds like you are taking it one step at a time though so good for you.
  22. Yeah agree, well on the Yamaha it is stored in the clocks, thought most were.
  23. I like the way the exhaust note changes as the revs increase, especially when you hit the power band, the tones alter to an almost shouting out. I hate too loud exhausts and don't believe loud pipes save lives, they are just obnoxious. But get it right and no greater sound.
