Honda Vision stolen and recovered. Repair advice needed
RideWithStyles replied to Smc1791's topic in Pitstop
Two ways to damage the steering lock, while it’s on the steering lock you kick or swing on the handle bar and the other is to punch the barrel out of place with a hammer as all it is a little metal notch that sticks out of the barrel when engaged into the frame/headstock notch. so if you put the steering lock on and it the handle a bar stays in place it’s ok. -
If the sound of being so close to the engine and the thought of it going faster as a bike rev faster and higher than cars is something of a difference. I suggest wearing ear plugs will dampen out the sound of the bike to be less distracting. I also suspect riding the bike wont be difficult for you but your hypertension looking into things that are out of the comfort zone you’ll have to work hard on, bit like a ADHD like thought and trying to avoid danger fixation… see the danger- turn /ride into the danger seen and crash into the danger, Rather than look at something else as a focus point and really focus on where you NEED to go ie further up the road…. it can be changed but you’ll have to work at it till it’s second nature of not doing it.

How yellow??? Are we talking a warm tint on a yellow side of a colour temp so 2200k candle light or lower? Rather than a an ideal 4000k white? That’s ok but if we’re talking dayglow greeny yellow then copper and Mot time might be a challenge. Too yellow along with too blue or purple hue is not allowed….the view is that the yellow is getting too similar to indicators. technically warm yellows are brighter than cool or bright whites, particularly how our eyes perceive them, most of the time the whiter (bluer) you go the more energy they have to put into them to show up aswell…which is why car LED LIGHTS in cars are very OP.

Sounds like Within that short time/distance Might be a fuel/ vacuum problem….first if the breather pipe in the fuel tank is blocked or trapped it starves the engine. when at idle start the bike and leave or rev it a bit till it stalls as it normally does now, try to quickly start it again if not luck open the fuel cap, if a load of air is heard and felt rushing in ok, then put the cap back on, start the bike again, does it start very quickly or actually starts? if so…. in the tank (underneath) their will be two thick rubber main pipes, one for the injection system (engine) and another probably small is the breather that is a long pipe that leads to the bottom of the bike and dangles freely or is connected to a large black canister that then doesn’t seem to connect to anything (that is a vapour trap). Check that smaller pipe that breather pipe if it has kinks of any kind / trapped etc along the line- that can be a problem that is easy to do by a mechanic . while there Check under the fuel cap / neck of the of tank, there will be a very small hole that is to drain the water or fall out that fills full of crap.

Small binkni fairings similar to monsters, true older bandits and tuonos are still naked, your hornet is still a naked which I think your bike falls into. if it was a half faired (full screen and faired upper) like the gsf600-1200 s versions then its not a naked especially if it had a full fairing panel as option.

Really depends on how your sitting on the bike now? Pictures of the bike and you on it as your riding would help greatly. as to if just bodging any risers and or bar on actually might do little difference for what YOU need. probably all its done or set up is lift your arms and elbows UP (even moved the bars even closer to you body which is not what you need) when you probably really need them pushed out away from you towards the clocks and angled flatter? even seen it where it was the pegs position that was the problem as it was angling the hips and spine to make it work…Again pictures would help.

This One-Off CFMoto Ibex 450 Looks Sick, Definitely Wheelies

No for me. -
Sorry to hear that MB. Agree with OC. For small things and changes aint a problem if they really care about it in the grand scheme of things particularly when you know how much shite they get up to, they just don’t want to. near me they spent a fortune putting in a central pedestrian area and new (just banks before) micro paths only less than 10 meters each and making them bus stops when there is ones already in action a hundred meters down when no accident nor any body asking for it, outside for a small terrace of 4 houses when they all have cars at least 2 expensive cars each at that…on the very edge of a border….figure that out?

Hi and sorry for your terrible experience already with biking. Scum like that need either proper prison time or death penalty no if or buts. Same as what Simon says. as long as it’s not a Honda HISS system where the ignition is “keyed” to the bikes ecu it makes it real easy so you can make it as cheap or as original as possible. if it is then as long as the you have the barrel and its not damaged then ok. If it has been damaged then it gets very expensive and more specialised. -
Had mostly sports , sport touring (as i refer my bike to), and a couple of nakeds (I’ll count the wifes too). Not venture much in other categories beyond them long term. shepherd, have you not adjusted (or changed) the bars to make it less compact?

Yea a very underrated bike .

Yes Every minor/ fail deflates but to make it worth while and appreciate the skill (and license) when you make it. just a little bit more time and practice is probably all that’s needs to get over the line, as long as you learn from it and get better then all is not lost…. good luck. -
Good Morning Good Night and General Chat.

Yep when i caught it. a few days before my birthday so it was in full swing at that time and almost killed me so that was great fun and quite memorable. Good luck hope it goes well and quick recovery. -
Yea as OC said. Easy If its in just for service its still your bike, the company or other party has no right to hold on to it nor use it against stock or account it against money they have…in fact more of a worry if you were having some major work doing (full engine strip) and the bike was still in proper bits (like the Norton bikes) then its messier and awkward phone calls. The supermarket types not as many people will get them serviced again there compared to buying because the higher number of customers that don’t require it, which is probably a factor in lower income. though the proper Dealerships the ratio will more even. i suspect they stretched too far, too soon…

Sometimes, but found out with debit to change the most smallest detail even if they screwed up (let alone an actual change) charged an obscene amount-along with Hastings.

Yeah funny. At my work place was a nice and placid Scottish sales guy (rare I know) lightly/softly spoken otherwise Italians can’t understand. Been all round the world loads but Italy was definitely one that brought out the sweats and sqweeky voice (amusing as fook) particularly some of the female Italian agents driving. Yes very pretty and well mannered but holy moly….

every Covid jab messes me up for some reason- vary from suffering with bad flu for three days to full on druggy withdrawal symptoms of “the shakes” for a day/night. Worst now by wife’s condition and I’m a carer so WE’RE meant to have it often….at least I skirt past the flu jab for now. -
Today is the day! CBT Incoming!
RideWithStyles replied to ChrisBiggsUK's topic in CBT, Test and Advanced Training Information
The throw into first is alway longer throw, more sudden and feel. plus if you leave going into first to late it can be a arse for the gb - especially as this bikes gearbox maybe a little different in character to another one so I’d suggest - do it sooner than your doing now while it’s spinning and the engine is to help push in into. There is other methods but your instructor /examiner might wonder as your meant to follow a very strict routine. -
Triumph are particularly stickler for the “we must be the only ones to have serviced” / touched this bike or you warranty is void bs….an arguably another nail in the new bike sales.

And ritebike in Bradford area. Disgusting way to do business

Three feet gap? they’d Fit a tank in that lol. typical Italian fashion parking is purely till it wont move anymore in the direction your going (bumping/pushing into), thats why for a long time ago they never bothered with a handbrake….you just pushed everything along till the car did fit lol. bikes went on the paths and corners, all this saved bothering someone while they looked good having coffee and cake. .

Yey for snail, certainly less parasite than a alarm or tracker on a bike. She’s not looking too bad, I’ve seen worse running bikes! yes needs some tlc but a beauty in the wings. probably a bolt or two hidden away keeping there? could be the picture angle but that bracket and bolt looks connected-the carb bank and engine too cover? Then brackets covering(resting on top) lower down the picture or in the middle / far end of the carbs keeping them together as a pair? might be just the angle? Heat the rubber somewhat, then spray penetrating fluid/wd40/GT85 (my favourite), leave to soak, repeat. silicone is great to use when it’s off, inside and out with some heat and rub it in, you get some malleability into it again.

Yes “investment” first time out is always viewed as expensive when viewed. You can pay that amount on a cheapest helmet possible from an established and premium brand alone. let alone, boots, gloves, pants and jacket….then if you want/need to upgrade the armour on the clothing. make sure you have a actual back protector, and understand what level they all are and mean…some ain’t bothered (none) or somewhat bothered (lv1), and quite bothered (lv2). Wear rating matters as to how long or speed they hold up to. Their ratings are a A,AA,AA+ etc. if not factor that in and its shape and size the pocket that the jacket allows unless you want a separate under armour layer? mid you look on YouTube for bennets bike social on body armour will help you understand.

Winter tackle suggestions?
RideWithStyles replied to AstronautNinja's topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
Cycling stuff ain’t bad and most are cheaper than biking’s offering, id also hunt out hiking stuff raid the clearance racks. though the cyclist “extra padding” on the arse/under wear area is a mixed blessing, feels like a nappy and waddling like a duck.… makes bulky and clumsy bike gear even more amusing.
