  1. why don’t you ask them? Keeping it simple and basic- yes has, can and will happen, it can be changed but depending on circumstances is it worth it? are you asking as in principle of it being changed or legitimately wanting/able to ride?
  2. Hi and welcome. nice selection of bikes. What colour(s) is the TNT? Those were one of the considerations many years ago.
  3. My very, very very short not detailed answer to this is copper was OTT and out of line, been watching FUZZ far too much.
  4. I know from BMWs , contrary to belief I see loads of them having that and bearings done in garages regularly, its a mechanics rating of “7-8” of a pain in the arse for a “simple and cheap part” to fail but yet requires so much ball d1cking about to get at it, fix it and put it back together and hope it doesn’t weep again shortly. Good luck and hope you sort it out soon and cheaply.
  5. Or more like slightly over sized old school wellies Like the couriers use to?
  6. Not been on a upto date modern one to be honest so I’ll take you word for it as the last one I sat on was a 848 era (last of the classy looking ones) and very brief 899. quite like the monsters. Many Years ago I did have an extended ride(s) on a good few duc’s due to my brother buying them from far reaches of the uk but not able to ride/transport them himself due to long term injuries of which out of many i fondly remember 748 and a 900 series can’t remember exactly which for some reason. The only gripe wasn’t the seat, its handle bars position , forks, engine, gearbox or clutch itself but the shock/spring setting with Dunlop tyres at that time that even made cats eyes somewhat an experience! year of modern Ducatis middle capacity ( which back then were classed as large capacity bikes) Are the real sweet spot even the lower to middle spec ones, for the road even smaller (400-600) ones are perfectly fine.
  7. What make and model of carbs are they? what bike it come off of?
  8. Lovely bike and was on the top 3 of my favourite choices at the time. Though with some unique quirks, charm and elements of risk. Don’t get me wrong its improved over the years if you were to get one , just don’t be surprised it could come with woes, reliably, dealers, back up, supply, lack of options outside its network etc that wouldn’t work for me. If this was a second bike of a summer use only then ok but strangely they dont cope sitting around in the garage for long. You could get a new but used example, find a really good independent garage that know them and still have a network then that will better than dealer source only, as they might know and willing to use better parts… Don’t let me put you off as its a great bike If your a particular person or lifestyle then it might be still perfect .
  9. They have been taking tips from sky and bt…the exact same customer bs strategy. i don’t buy into that and purposely avoid buying said product from them, even if it was to be cheaper (it very rarely if ever is) than I get it from someone else that never pulls that trick.
  10. Agree. Meh on the wings, it would look sleeker without. defo a Fan on the look of the twin swing arm design.makes cleaning the rear wheel easier. defo a track only bike as that is gonna get hot riding that bike in towns or owt below 50 with that tight packaging and fairing. what would be cool is a single centre light like gxsr had for a light as a road bike which is no use in wsbk unless they go do night racing? then what would be a side light is a movable blanking plate that opens or closes depending on bolt up, left or right. Corners to give drag /pressure or not. That would get rid of wings as Guzzi has the lower or back cowling to some effect. but in the rules adjustable wings or adjustable pressure measures, even a certain amount of flexing is not allowed weither ext or int, Great shame so bingo wings are to stay. im still in arms about calling it a road legal series and bike. That seat I wouldn’t even be able to fit a 5ltr tail pack properly let alone a being. talk about cheating, they made the bar levers really extra wide (way wider than the bars) so they could have larger wings so it doesn’t foul the “can’t be wider than the essential bike components of the production bike”….classy thinking on the rule book. price is price which is inline with anything else in the world, including cars. couldnt afford a 996/ new superbike/25k car back then, can’t afford a v4 or owt SB including new car now….

    Hi

Hi and welcome. Yeah Gaz don’t mind the odd balls, its amusing to the others . anyway Bonio I thought you lost your “shortest man” Mantle to someone else? .
  12. Hi and welcome. yes the Triumph is a nice choice of bike. it was on my list of wants even that colour but maybe will the next one or two down the line.
  13. That’s why I save up watch motorbike racing for the staying in/grounded days. women’s racing fills an hour or so ,great racing with so many nationals attending only wishing it gains real traction, with more laps and tracks attending . Bsb and wsbk fills those needing more filling days (I don’t bother with MotoGP). while world endurance bikes fills up winter time quite well.
  14. not to fashion sense people as each to their own and all (I am a of the sensible topbox crew) but curiously asking about the mixing Your bike has. a white and black patterned banana (which looks quite modern design) on as a screen and wood beads as a seat…which the last time I saw that was guns and roses /steel pantha and the other in a taxi of a elderly gentleman many moons ago, dont think Ive ever seen one on a bike before, certainly not together.
  15. braking regenerative are selective in most recent electric cars. Most Ranging from 1-2 but some 5. Some are better than others with more or less consistent control. Plus some people are better at being smoother with said. Of the cars I have driven: full regen is what some would say a dodgedum car of a single pedal use, it’s almost like a very large aggressive v twin engine compression (and off throttle slowing down) while in first with the rear brake on so quite aggressive and somewhat difficult to get a smooth transition to modulate with just the throttle as you don’t use the brake other wise it’s a emergency stop with the anchor thrown out the back. it doesn’t move off the line (unlike a auto) if you let your your foot off the brake so best in stop start traffic below 20 moderate with the throttle. But people do use this setting a lot ive found out really this is the most lazy and horrible experience that really degrades driving standards let alone add the stress to anyone infront or behind. inbetween is a mosh but its consistency at any given speed can be viewed as rather inconsistent to an ice mostly due to the lack of gears in the gear box, electric motor and braking itself with all three having there own impact at various times. To the other end of no re gen it’s like a free rolling automatic with a race engine 2stroke with the clutch pulled in that has lack of slowing down through engine and transmission drag what people would expect with an 4stroke that most people know Is quite something. the lack of engine characteristics, masses of torque from so few revs, no gears to mess with or instant drive forward even from a low to middling EV motor is an experience and somewhat a giggle. on top of the regen is the mode which adds another element ( that behaves differently depending on each different section) then some have a sub selection of character to certain parameters which add another layer of out comes. Personally I prefer sport mode which gets rid of the pause or delay with little if non regen in the car just because I don’t like the idea and feel to take speed away (braking) just “to put back in the battery” while just maintain speed when energy went in to build it up in the first place. about the charge dropping…depending on ev power (normal family car to middling) is comparable up to Audi rs3/4 or 6 running at 450hp or a lot more which I had the honour to run for a while and at 26mpg normal road use- mid 30s if your very lucky with a nearly 90ltr tank can be polished off in less than 100 to 200miles if your very lucky…doesn’t take a genius to work out its a lot of fill ups and money….sor for the performance the EV can easily achieve its abit more like a very fast car but miles better in the towns and city’s. the rs6 made more sense on motorways And autobans but in town it was daft. the ev makes great sense in town and city’s but takes a hit on fast motorway use.
  16. . Cool slightly but some nice bikes , sensible choice of bike.
  17. With tubes if too low or far too high pressure and if placement isn’t correct they can damage themselves over time. So the tube from friction and pulling at the valve is main problems for tubeless road tyres then its massive potholes. off roaders suffer more often from pinching. Could be the picture but the valve looks angled. that rim damage looks more like lever at fitment time or it’s from rolling off the tyre edge onto the rim. even on a tubeless tyre that wouldn’t be enough to cause a leak.
  18. Do you wish to say what you’re looking at?
  19. Halestorm only in London?
  20. yes and Toluene is really nasty stuff and quite toxic with contact (skin permeable), breathed (even after flaming) or ingested.
  21. Correct. That’s what this machine does, rotates the piece/item placed in it while jetting the crap out of it, can do well but still…
  22. Of course but MBF probably has other motives? like shares in mcvities?
  23. Hello .
  24. I know a place that has an industrial custom SC (sadly not used for bike parts or owt) that doesn’t soak and hope bubbles do the work, no it is with actual heating, very high pressure jets (pointing to small indents on a chromed surface) and a special solutions (ranging from a very strong fairy liquid cleaner to xenomorph level of blood acid attack to plastics etc if it comes into contact with ). Anyway even in its usual design and above average spec solutions it still has direct access too, let alone anything hidden in a passageway of or has to bubble away at, can require repeat goes (if at all manageable) just to lift a bit of dirt, contamination from, but still weakens/wears out chrome at the same time. so a small glorified deep fat fryer and diluted rats piss solution that most places sell (avoiding acid attacks and exposure risks etc) isn’t going to be great at the finer/hidden or stubborn stuff. another thing which might be it rather than the carb (if your absolutely sure its not carb based problem) to check is air leaks from or something silly like pin hole somewhere, gasket gone, packing broken down, baffle removed etc in the exhaust can affect in a similar way.
  25. Have the Same kit (not the compressor) that’s what the co2bottles are for, but I’ve just kept the more essentials in that ON/IN the bike as space is tight but better than bouncing and banging around the topbox as its a biggy.
