there is a difference to a inconvenience leak and a dangerous one. most modern fork seals are strong other than the still weak ohlins.. as gero and amw says it wont be expensive to fix just parts, wonder if there is a worthy or suspension specialist there?

lol.

as bender says... more than likely its either a sensor or a ignition problem.

the injectors may have tiny droplets amount in them yes aswell but its very small percentage of a percentage again, so its little problem for injectors but pumps, pipes and tanks are a different matter. fuel tanks are rarely 100% vacum from new let alone a few years. have a breathers and need to breathe with the atmosphere pressure so in the doing of that allows water vapour in naturally. tankers have to extent allow water in, petrol stations do, pumps let in tiny amounts back in when they stop, they have to breathe to a point too so all have tiny amounts in. once its in its downhill from there. funny enough that doesnt say which fuel or real world conditions, the humidity of the air at those temps? that sounds like controlled storage quote in a very warm and dry area...not humid or outside winter in the uk. but how much percentage of a liquid (e10 in this case) that will want to absorb water in with it, thats the problem that greatly accelerates degrading the fuel.

is that still with super or E10? exactly the same here Tink. i used moly and one other i cant remember off top of my head for fuel stabilizer for the last few years which does help to a point but its less of the good stuff and more of the bad that still speeds up breaking down especially if it gets really wet and cold. same, i put the old stuff in the car parts at a time. while i refill the bike on a decent day after a couple of months with fresh just incase a get chance to ride out the week after..that reminds me wifeys bike is due a burn about or an empty and refill. id still run the carb dry but just empty the tank, refill with fresh tank once or so a month putting the old stuff it in the car to burn off. i have a 20ltr metal fuel jerry can (that is years old) to store good fuel or an emergency for old and a hand pump to make it speedier to transfer.

estate agents, sign post (sale /sold) contractors. drilled into house number 7 wall to put a sign up saying "sold" for a neighbour across the road.... after i asked them about it as it was a surprise to us they never mentioned about it, theyre long time friends of family to....they had no clue of it either, they were never selling in the first place . no7 complained to the estate agents. the house it should of gone to was 17, which was one of their elderly parents house before this current owner, so still lingers for them. owner previously threw some really terrible and loud tenants in it, wreaking it too the scruffers and still in a state... next day they hadn't removed the 7 sign as they said they would do (also repairing the wall) but came back to put the new "sold" sign on 17....next day swapped the 17 to "for sale" but still left no7s on....

advice on the hard rubber to try out if your really struggling. very hot water, silicone spray and warmth. place the rubber part into a pan of really hot if not boiling water. this will soften and lengthen the molecules (open the pores if you want to see it), then quick pat dry but while still hot spray loads of silicone spray all over and inside of it, give it a few mins then rub gently in as best as possible... you may have to do this a couple of times or better yet if its absorbed some of the silcone in the first place. just to help it is to put it in a really warm spot with a cover. get it warm, spray the sil over it loads and pop it back in the heated area with the cover so the slicone just doesnt escape, leave it there for a few hours with some heat, come back wipe down and see if its taken it on. another possible is paraffin but there is a risk of it not being 100% compatible so id limit/baby the times... if its helped but not not quite there to get it back over the carb/pipe is to rub a little film coat of silicone or Vaseline to lube it.

not even bolt would have time to stop car, undo seat belt, open door and run, while the bike was way far down the road so no way he was being caught... you could say eye for an eye for inconvenience, considering the dangerous actions the car driver could and willing to do...
-
the car driver 100000000 percent at fault simple as,car had to give way to the bike simple as, he didnt even give a shite about the cars coming the other way either, most likely just being a muppet and smack off this face! agree with BF yes that a poor inexperienced rider would have come a cropper... i dont know but reading that yes he did need help opening his door . i would have done the same but i would have put full beam on to destroy his retinas for a bit while he crawled past then open the door, if that presented its self to me even without a camera footage to share....

sorry to hear it. yeah but its still a fairly large chunk of what they actually do. id see it as a bonus on what you would have bought it the first place rather than just buying themon the wim/solely with a discount in mind. admit the car one might be a slightly better? michelins tend to wear out quite closey together from my experience, normally a few thou difference max where as avons, pirelli/metz are two rears to a front.

XJ900N color schemes and codes
RideWithStyles replied to Torsten's topic in Old Motorbikes, Projects and Restorations
problem is even if you did is it still available? a lot of old paints would have been made with nasty chemical elements including lead also that are carcinogenic (too many to list) in them which now a days are bannned by law. so realistically your gonna have to look for the nearest modern one and go by that or colour match it yourself....of dont bother asking b&q . also dont trust the machines to say thats it either... -
