Fozzie Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Someone is making a very strong effort at getting into my e-mail account. Showed the IT guy at work yesterday and the way the attempts are stacked and bounce all over the world suggest either some kind of automated system trying different passwords, or one person with a VPN and too much time on their hands. All that effort to see how many thousands of pounds I spend at Screwfix and Amazon... Nob 'ed 2 2 Quote

Popular Post Davidtav Posted April 14 Popular Post Posted April 14 I was a bit of a nob today. But I had to laugh at myself. So I bought this electric outboard motor. Looks great actually! And without reading the manual I plugged the charger in. And ES appeared on the display. I thought that has got to be an error code. So I looked at the back for errors. And couldn’t see anything about ES. And then it changed. And then I realised I had been looking at the display upside down! And it was 53% charged. Now 54% charged! Actually now fully charged. Itching to try it on my inflatable tender 1 12 Quote
Davidtav Posted April 14 Posted April 14 Yeah. Ridiculously overpriced thing. But it’s light and if it just works then will be ok https://seamarknunn.com/products/epropulsion-elite-xs-lightweight-electric-outboard-motor Quote
onesea Posted April 29 Posted April 29 Having parked up as normal to go to the boat... I came back to the car to this. I got it off the parking space just, luckily the car behind was a little bit more considerate. It took a couple of efforts but I got it. The temptation to break a wing mirror was strong, but resisted. However if you drive a Gold Hilux, don't expect any kindness. 2 Quote

It’s interesting yesterday that road had a couple of cars left with notes. Of a winter there are a handful of us who park there. We all park sensibly and can fit in the first 1/4 of the road, now cars are not parked sensibly just because of nobs like the guy above. This time of the year we would rather walk the length of the road to park at an end. Today they were all taken. Other option is £60 for 2 months parking in the car park, which has similar issues 2 Quote
Mawsley Posted Monday at 11:34 Posted Monday at 11:34 Wife has been away since Tuesday. So far the dogs have had upset stomachs, one accident in my bedroom, pulled my neck so I can't look left, rolled in shit three times, destroyed some post and constantly jumped on my bollocks when I've been sitting down quietly attempting to recapture my zen and sunny disposition. I need to find a website for pets where I can part-ex them for a torque wrench or something. 7 Quote

We've one that refuses pointblank to go further than the end of the road with me alone. Will happily go miles with herself. 2 Quote

Popular Post Mississippi Bullfrog Posted Monday at 16:12 Popular Post Posted Monday at 16:12 Today I packed everything needed for this afternoon's tasks. To be safe I put my flask of coffee inside one of my wellies. Unfortunately, on putting my left foot into said wellie I discovered I had neglected to tighten the top of the flask. No coffee. And very wet left foot. 11 Quote
Tiggie Posted Tuesday at 12:29 Posted Tuesday at 12:29 My Wife messaged me while I was at work to say your dinner is out so don't be long. Instead of thanking her for making me some food I instead enquired as to why would you plate my dinner up at 20:59 when I don't finish until 21:00 and then still have to get changed and drive home (albeit 5 minutes commute) Ungrateful nob I believe was the term used though I still think I had a point. This makes me nob of the day at home. A position I am somewhat accustomed to 2 3 Quote
Simon Davey Posted Tuesday at 13:29 Posted Tuesday at 13:29 @Tiggie Perhaps next time, suggest she improves her cooking skills to have the food ready as you arrive, and not before.... 1 Quote
Mawsley Posted Wednesday at 14:16 Posted Wednesday at 14:16 Fudge was nailed on to win Dog of the Day for the first time in her brief existence. Then, just before getting back in the car, she scoffs half a pound of fresh fox shit. Honestly, I’m not sure she values the kudos and respect that the Dog of the Day brings. Tediously, again, Fudge is a knob. So, for an impressive 465th consecutive day since the inception of the competition, Beamish wins Dog of the Day. 7 Quote
S-Westerly Posted Wednesday at 16:12 Posted Wednesday at 16:12 Not sure what it is with some dogs and fox shit but we had a Patterdale that never missed a chance to roll in it and really work it in then become Satan's imp when you tried to wash it off. Usually involved muzzle on him and gauntlets on us. Sadly no longer with us but sometimes missed. 2 1 Quote
Fiddlesticks Posted Wednesday at 17:19 Posted Wednesday at 17:19 Nob of the day has to be the genius who lost an argument with gravity while practicing his full-lock figure 8's in the car park after work. Now in the cellar looking for hammerite roughly the same colour as his engine bars. Oggs and emelettes... 1 3 1 3 Quote

Fiddlesticks Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago (edited) So Mrs. Fiddlesticks decides to put a few homely niknaks on display for the benefit of potential buyers. Daughter comes down for a few days, after which we start showing the house. Little did we know the little wotsit had been "correcting" her mum's spelling... Cheers kiddo. Now we look like a pair of illiterates. Edited 16 hours ago by Fiddlesticks 6 Quote
