Well I'm all paid up, still not 100% I'll be there, but reserved my spot at the bar anyway.

Bit concerned about leaving my bike and all my gear outside unatended whilst were all in the bar.

What's the security like there??

yup got ya

dont know this is the first time there

it is in the middle of nowhere so you would have to be heading there to get to it and not just passing

take a chain and chain it to as many bikes as you can

if you have an alarm please don't arm it. last year I got good bloody sick of hearing a certain persons rsv alarm going off whenever anyone felt like a laugh and gave the tyres a kick

Halfords selling tents for 20quid...

Some of us are on min wage :P and with the bike costing £230 a month without riding it is hard, then i have a disabled mother who i care for and pay her mortgage if she's short.

I can wait till next year i think! :)

(will see what i can do still)

Edit: screw it i'll see if i can get this and fit it in my bag! :D

bought thanks

And paid for rally.

I have a spare tent, its the old style slumit 3 man pop up tent (easy up, loads of room and dry),

Happy to loan it out but its big well long even when packed down which was the main reason i swapped to another and you would have to carry it there and back.

If your interested ill measure the thing to give you a better idea of the size

My factory fitted alarm is auto arming.. Its not very loud though. Thinking I might bring the car. Riding home Sunday with a massive hangover whilst overheating in leathers won't be much fun!

Hey buddy managed to order one, collecting it today :)

Security: The pub is at the end of a lane that only goes

to the pub and another caravan site.

They frequently hold bike meets there!

It's quite close to the town centre if you cross the river

but you can only cross that using the rope ferry (people only)

by road it's about 7 miles from the town.

I can't remember seeing much to chain a bike to but will have a look today/tomorrow

I'm using the same effective security as last year; having the least valuable bike present

does that mean yo are taking the one that never gets mentioned then?

Posted

I think my security is far more effective....take a bike no one else can fit on , lol :D

No obvious security for bikes that I could see,

there were several bikes there just parked by the owner's tents.

The ferry is now a small boat not the rope thing,

food good, beer good, staff friendly.

Lovely location!

Toilets/showers are a bit hit and miss but work.

I think we'll be fine!

They had a Bandit owner's do last weekend!

The last stragglers left today!

They were setting up for some sort of music gig as we left,

already more of them than there will be of us!

Are the barmaids hot? Could be a deal breaker if they're not...

Posted
 apart from the owner, Sam, all the staff

appeared to be male!

So are you confirming in your view they are hot and single? :)

Posted

 no idea if hot or single!

They poured the beer ok and brought

the food to the right table!

Now you ruined it, i was going to randomly sleep in a gentleman's tent at the rally and smile at that in the morning :tumble:

My tent is alarmed and electrified

And in the morning there is always a grumpy bear trying to sleep
