Fish Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 Finished work early so went for an evening ride out. I did find out what it's like to find a run of gravel in the middle of the lane, which gave a little scare.Fish Quote
Six30 Posted August 22, 2020 Posted August 22, 2020 got back about half hour ago … first ride with new headers ,no cat/muffler … sounds sweet, still grinning Quote
geofferz Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 This might seem rudimentary for some of you but for mechanical and electrical noobs like me it's super satisfying. My plate light broke so I took the rear fairing off, discovered that it was the light and not the wiring, ordered a free replacement from conquest racing On ebay (great service BTW) and fitted it. Saved myself a ton in labour, and time. Very happy. Quote
fastbob Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 Cheers guys. Makes me feel better It was the Travelodge at Thurrock West. With hindsight, not a good choice. The car park was well lit. But it never dawned on me that I was in London. No reviews of stolen motorcycles there, although one person says they had 12k worth of tool half inched by a man with a van. Here you go . Walking distance . Quote

Ian Frog Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 To be fair hindsight and research is all very well but how many of us do that kind of research for 1 night stopovers? I feel for you and hope that 1 day you will find the scumbags and coincidently be driving a muck spreader or something that can deploy explosives!Cheers Ian Quote

I wouldn't care about the weather I'd be abusing it It wet and blowy here now and there is a £1500 excess if I bend it. Also 200 miles on the clock and there were a few twitchy times on bends and roundabouts on the way back. Think the tyres are still shiny It is supposed to dry up around lunch time so will be out then. Quote

Nimble and chuckable through the twisties.Have to use the gears a lot more than the GSF though.Gone back though now and the GSF is back in the garage with a clean MOT. Quote

geofferz Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 Those tyres look grippy as @geofferz Yep - the tc hasn't kicked in once! Except in launch control. And I ride it quite hard. They are so soft though - I only got 1500 miles out of the rear Quote
