dynax Posted August 22, 2022 Posted August 22, 2022 Good morning I had a lovely ride yesterday evening, I even put the typical Sunday drivers to shame riding well below the speed limits, although one driver seemed a tad irate at driving 10mph in 20 zone 1 1 Quote

As for covid it boils my piss that in Germany you can pass through a really crowded station etc but still have to wear a bloody mask on a train. Edited August 22, 2022 by S-Westerly 1 Quote
Fozzie Posted August 22, 2022 Posted August 22, 2022 Good afternoon! Interview went very well. Even if I don't get it, I think I'll be moving up to a new position soon. The discussion about what the company should be focusing on was met with a good response. My interviewer said he enjoyed the discussion, so lets see what happens. 9 Quote

Tiggie Posted August 24, 2022 Posted August 24, 2022 Girl at work told me she just watched a really really old film with her Dad last night and was surprised how much she liked it considering it was so old. The film? Demolition Man with Sly Stallone 5 Quote
S-Westerly Posted August 25, 2022 Author Posted August 25, 2022 Decided to ride from Barnard Castle to Penrith which I did but found half the roads closed and diversions everywhere and discovered the Hartside Pass cafe no longer exists. Think I'll go back via the boring old A66 although I might cut off at Brough. Quote

S-Westerly Posted August 26, 2022 Author Posted August 26, 2022 Feeling quite well disposed to Northumberland County Council at the moment. After my mother's self inflicted chaos they've leapt into action and all sorts of aid and care have materialised. New bed for my mother and other aid bits, at home carer 3 days a week, assistance with shopping, blind association assistance for my Dad and occupational therapy for both of them. Might be a bit late for my mother though as her condition is definitely worse. 1 Quote
husoi Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 Good morning everybody An interesting concept in the news today. The main problem of film industry (and similarly many other industries) is that they have grown too much for their own good. According to a film specialist, there are too many films and still too many movie theaters. People have become tired of same thing over and over where the only change is what you're looking at for 1,5 hours. I think this applies to many other. Take restaurants for example, how often you see a menu being renewed? or even the decoration revamped. With money shrinking on a daily basis we have to make decisions on spending that obviously doesn't please "leisure industry" Time is changing... Quote
