Cheers Ian I did this once, I accumulated 4 bikes in various states of project/repair. Kept 2 in a friends garage, who I later moved in with after breaking up with that partner. Fibbing is really just way of sparing her the stress and anxiety. What she doesn't know can't hurt her. So its an act of kindness really.
