Doing a little check over on the bike and saw a stone bedded in the front tyre. 

There's good amount of thread and the tyres not squared off. The lighting make it look a bit square. The hole is about 1.5 or 2mm deep 

 

Should I have this looked at or potentially replaced. Or am I being a bit paranoid.

I assume you mean 1.5 or 2.0mm rather than metres. In which case that's less than the tread pattern depth. So long as it's in the treaded area that should not be a problem....but as above, a picture would help.

Just remember they are designed to roll along the road picking up the odd stone your not.

I wouldn't worry about the tyre.

The rubber part of a tyre give little strength..its the reinforcing under the rubber that's the strength.
