daveinlim Posted August 21, 2022 Posted August 21, 2022 (edited) Doing a little check over on the bike and saw a stone bedded in the front tyre. There's good amount of thread and the tyres not squared off. The lighting make it look a bit square. The hole is about 1.5 or 2mm deep Should I have this looked at or potentially replaced. Or am I being a bit paranoid. Edited August 21, 2022 by daveinlim Quote
Mississippi Bullfrog Posted August 21, 2022 Posted August 21, 2022 I assume you mean 1.5 or 2.0mm rather than metres. In which case that's less than the tread pattern depth. So long as it's in the treaded area that should not be a problem....but as above, a picture would help. Quote

Mississippi Bullfrog Posted August 22, 2022 Posted August 22, 2022 Congratulations, you have installed a new wear indicator in your tyre. When it disappears it's time to change your tyre. 2 Quote

daveinlim Posted August 22, 2022 Author Posted August 22, 2022 Thanks everyone. Tyre will stay put for now. And as Mississippi Bulldog said I have a new wear indicator now Quote
nickjaxe Posted August 22, 2022 Posted August 22, 2022 The rubber part of a tyre give little strength..its the reinforcing under the rubber that's the strength. I 1 1 Quote
